This beach appears to have two separate sandy beach swimming areas on either side of a small rocky outcrop although it was easily traversed.
Water was a beautiful colour and there appeared to be a small reef about 100 metres offshore that seemed to protect the beach.
Large car park and park with lookouts above the beach and good change room facilities.
We far and away though preferred Gnarabup Beach for swimming.

Yallingup Beach , like so much of the coastline in this part of Western Australia is rugged and beautiful. Long stretches of sand and a rugged coastline warrants a visit.

A beautiful beach providing Dog walking area, surfing, easy (lagoon) swimming and great location. Views are spectacular, walk the beach in the summer or the winter and its beautiful. Grab a coffee from Marc at the coffee van on your way down to the beach, there’s only one road so you cant miss him

Just spent a few days at Yallingup and loved having the beach at our doorstep.Low tide is great for fossicking and walking and high tide you are still protected from waves and the reef just out off from shore.Public toilets,showers,BBQs and a kids play ground in one area.No dogs in the central area but you can take your dogs on a lead further down the beach.Lots of walk trails and stunning views

Walked part of the Cape to Cape trail from Torpedo Rock (near Smiths Beach) to Yallingup - about 4kms return. Well worth the walk although it's quite exposed; gravel without stairs so would be ok for strollers; plenty of viewing spots to check out the impressive surf, especially in big swell conditions. Once in Yallingup itself take advantage of the foreshore development on the headland overlooking the main beach - naturally shady, innovative playground (for up to approx. 8yr olds), prime viewing spot of the surf. Low tide provides some good spots for learner surfers.

Such a nice beach. Beautiful and still in the morning. Bright blue light sands. Heads up dogs are not permitted on beach but are aloud on smiths beach.

Yallingup Beach is a bit of a legend in WA as the beach where surfboard-riding in that state really took off. In the park overlooking the beach there is a bronze statue of 60s surfer holding a longboard to commemorate this event. This park also has viewing platforms from where you can watch and admire the skills of the surfers who continue to flock to Yallinup and its legendary reef break
The park also features a very cool beach-shack themed playground as well as good toilets and excellent facilities for picnics.

We went for a BBQ in the park overlooking the beach and the playground was terrific for our 6 grandkids. Great outlook!

Absolutely beautiful, incredible views and plenty to do. Great place to relax , swim, surf. Plenty of places to eat and visit on the way

There is a small part of the beach for safe swimming but there are often waves. Not a problem if you stay in the shallow water. If you are an experienced swimmer then you could body surf on the main beach. I agree with a previous post that Dunsborough and Busselton are more protected beaches but if you have transport then it isn't far to travel from Yallingup to Dunsborough and Busselton.

Hello:
I'm not aware that there is anything on Yallingup Beach for rent. it's not that kind of beach. it's a very residential area with summer homes for Perth people, and everyone brings their own gear. Great surf though! There's a few shops at the town centre (which is basically a crossroad), and there's a surf shop, cafe, and bathing suit store. It's a tiny cute, posh, lovely place on a great part of the coast with towering hills above it which you can climb or drive up, for great views up and down the coast.
