Great wine, great location, unfortunately service was a real let down. We felt like a burden, we were rushed and our server was terribly rude.

We were lucky enough to to have Ellen assist us with tastings and her extensive wine knowledge. Tastings were plentiful and with her father a wine maker we were well looked after with various information. Beautiful view over the boutique family run organic vineyard. Well worth the visit and Glen Valley NV Reserve a must!

AS part of a small group tour, I was expecting a proper wine tasting. The measure of wine given for a tasting was an insult. A thimble full of wine will not enable you to determine a wines character, taste. Our disappointment was expressed to tour guide, and while noted, nothing changed to situation. The tour cost was $284.95 per person for a five hour period. I certainly did not expect such a rip-off.

Dear Traveltip2,
I am disappointed to read that you did not enjoy your experience. I can't help but think that this review should be directed at the company who charged you the $284.95 and not our little cellar door.
Firstly, our charge was $5 of the $284.95. You were served 7 different wines, which would have been more if you did not have strict time restraint - you had to get back on the cruise ship on time.
Secondly, our tasting pours were 20ml per wine. This serving size is governed by Western Australian Racing, Gaming and Liquor as well as Drinkwise Australia, which we have to adhere to as to allow customers to accurately count their standard drinks when going to different wineries. Had you have asked to taste a wine again, my team member would have gladly obliged.
We believe our $5 tasting fee is fair, and the fee does not apply if a customer purchases a bottle of wine. Another couple on your tour loved the tasting so much they sent a case of our wine back to the USA.
Hopefully your next day trip was more enjoyable.

One of the smaller / boutique vineyards, this is well worth a stop. A very pleasant knowledgeable lady described each wine. Quality of wines very good. Better than some of the bigger vineyards. However could do with a cafe/ food Area.

Excellent winery in lovely location with very laid back, laconic and knowledgeable owner/cellar door host.
A very interesting (and different) range of wines to many other places and the Tokay dessert wine was absolutely divine and an essential purchase!

Really enjoyed the wine tasting. Great wines and a really excellent description of the wines with a few jokes thrown in. Dont mention the dog, ha ha! Great view over the vineyard.

The tide was definitely out when we visited this time. On other occasions it has been much better. Perhaps the long weekend made a difference. A sip rather than a tasting. Subsequently I only bought one bottle, normally I buy six. Good value for money wines and well worth a visit, just don't expect too much in your glass.;

I’m terribly sorry we didn’t give you enough free wine on the day and that you weren’t completely satisfied with the Windance experience. Feel free next long weekend to pop your head in again and I’ll make sure you have an adequate measure to your liking. Visited with friends and as it was relatively early we were the only ones there. We sampled most of the wines, all of which were excellent and came away with a few bottles including their reserve tokay which is yummy! Highly recommended.

My husband and I stopped here as part of a tour. The wines were lovely, the cellar door staff member who looked after us was very knowledgeable about the wine, the vineyard and the owners.
We were made very welcome and would be more than happy to recommend this cellar door experience to others.
