I have known the owners, Audrey and Don Dowling for years. Both are commited to various art forms in our area and beyond. Audrey is a fabulous visual artist and Don an accomplished writer. They live the dream and share their talents with us all.

Portage Hill Art Gallery is a must-see here in Chautauqua County. It features such a diverse selection of art and artists- both regional and national. And the owners couldn't be nicer and more helpful! Perfect place to find something for your home, or as a gift!

In addition to its being a framing shop and art gallery for the owner's own art and ceramic work, there are dozens of other artists' works here in a variety of mediums from unique small jewelry pieces to large canvases. This is a fine art studio and not a crafts store. Consequently, prices are higher but appropriate. Several artists that display their works here show up for the Chautauqua Art Trail events. Well worth the stop, even if you are just looking and admiriing.

Portage Hill is a wonderful art gallery featuring art made by owner Audrey Dowling as well as dozens of other artists. They have a wide range of art and it is a great place to look whether you need something for your house or as a gift for a friend.
