We were sorry we were not closer to home and able to buy more of what they had to offer. What a great friendly place. They also do landscaping if you are in the area. Pretty and colorful place.

We wanted to buy a plant for a friend who is new to the mountains and to gardening. The lady who assisted us gave us a range of plants to choose from and explained the pluses and minuses of each. Our friend is delighted with our pick and we would most certainly go there again.

Theresa, her assistant and son are the most knowledgeable and helpful people we have experienced in this area. Don't waste your time at Lowes, although we love that store (now, only for other purposes). Theresa went far, far out of her way to assist with our small flower garden planting. Thanks, see you later.

A ton of beautiful plants. I live in Florida and many of theses plants are for the mountains. It is worth visiting.

... if you're a gardener and you're within 100 miles of home, you're simply not going to pass by when the sign says 50% off on perennials. My tires squealed as I laid on the brakes to make the turn into the driveway and stuffed 4 large hosts in my Mini Cooper. If you visit, don't forgo the inside area as Theresa grows awesome elephant ears and they too, were 50% off - just couldn't fit one in a Mini or would have. Friendly Folks. I'll be back!

I happen o be an avid gardener and while on a recent visit to Roan Mountain, TN. we found ourselves in Banner Elk, NC. While eating in a local restaurant, I saw a plant that I (simply) had to have . Went to the Grandfather Mountain Nursery and the very, knowledgeable young lady working there immediately led me to it. This was especially appreciated since I had no idea of the name and only gave her a description. They have a wide assortment of plants and I enjoyed just looking around. I sis, however, buy several other plants and highly recommend a visit to this nursery if you are in the area.

This was just a stop on a very beautiful drive on a autumn weekend at the peek of colors. Staying in a North Carolina country cabin in this gorgeous area. The near by Blue Ridge Parkway was our window to non-stop spectacular mountain scenery.

I don't really know, we were there in the morning around 9 am, there was staff there but not many people. We drove by again on our way back home and there were several cars there. Sorry, you might go online or phone.
