I made a last minute decision to take a lesson, and spent 90 minutes with Stewart. After several dozen lessons over the years I finally found a PGA instructor who knows his stuff. Stewart didn't mess around and got into the issues of my swing immediately. By the end of the 90 minutes with "some" tweaking and changes to my setup and swing, I was hitting the driver better than I ever have. Maybe not a perfect swing, since we all want perfect, but well enough to hit the ball straighter and longer than I have in a long time. And with enough confidence now to manage and improve on my swing flaws with practice. If I lived in the Charlotte area I would visit Stewart at least once a month. The lesson was fun, informative and productive. Thanks Stewart!!! - Mark

Stewart was great. He is new to the Academy and so very personable and provided good tips. he made it a very pleasant learning experience. Highly recommend him!! Hope the 2 day school allows more time on the course also in the future. That is a very helpful aspect.

What I liked:
1. The cost of the golf lesson was reasonable given that it is a top twenty-five golf school
2. It was a group lesson and the golf instructor managed the group dynamics very well
Areas to improve:
1. I left the 15 hour long group lesson with the same issue as I had before - a slice in my swing.
2. I wish they would write a training plan upon exiting the lesson.

This is a fantastic place and Stan is very knowledgeable and makes the fitting experience relaxed and enjoyable.
Definitely go see him if you are going to need a fitting.

I took a group of 8 private lessons with Jon Meyers at Dana Rader over the last 6 months. This was the 3rd golf instructor I have had since I started playing 3 years ago, about an 18 handicap now. Jon is a fantastic instructor that I would highly recommend. He has a great attitude and tremendous knowledge of the game. I took lessons first thing in the morning and at the end of the day...Jon's attitude was always enthusiastic. You can tell that he truly enjoys instructing which makes any golf lesson a better experience. He has improved every aspect of my game from driving to long irons, chipping and putting.
The Dana Rader facility is top notch. Great driving bays, practice greens that roll true and a huge chipping and bunker area. And a large indoor driving bay with trackman technology. Also had a driver fitting with Stan Roach which I was very happy with. Highly recommend Dana Radar golf school for all levels of golf.

A couple days ago I had the opportunity to experience golf instruction at The Dana Radar Golf Academy. It was originally supposed to be a MeetUp group event but circumstances dwindled the group to just me. A bit nervous about being the sole focus for the instructor I decided to stick it out and I'm certainly glad I did. After I parked on site I used the call box radio for the complementary golf cart shuttle pick up to the front door. Walked in and was warmly greeted by the staff inside and got checked in. The golf cart shuttle driver had taken my clubs around to the practice area while I checked in. Everyone I came in contact with was very friendly. When I met with my instructor Sofi, even though it was the end of the day she seemed full of energy and genuinely excited to help me with better fundamentals. She was very patient, and able to explain away the "why is my ball going this way?" and provide tips and movements for me to practice to keep the muscle memory fresh. She made the training session painless and a bit of fun. When my schedule permits I will definitely sign up again for additional training and I have been passing the word out to friends who are thinking about picking up some clubs. I didn't take any photos but next time I will.

I attended the three day golf school again this year. I attended last year and broke 100 and begin playing in the mid to low 80s and have even played a few rounds in the high 70s since school last summer. I went back this summer to brush up on some fundamentals. The staff are all terrific!
They focus on the fundamentals and have been able to see subtle things in my set up and swing that other instructors have missed. I cannot rate them highly enough. I think this is an incredible value for the money paid and would gladly go again yearly if this keeps my game in top form.

My husband and I are beginner golfers. We signed up for the 3 day golf school. I definitely needed lots of instructions, but did not want to get "overloaded". What I received was perfect! The instructor gave me what I could handle, but did not confuse me. The facilities were excellent, lunches were yummy, and everyone was accommodating and friendly.

I took the 2 day golf school and was so impressed with the instructors and the fact that they helped every aspect of my golf game. My main instructor was John Meyers for most of the 2 days. He was excellent identifying what I needed to change for immediate results. I am hitting straighter, longer drives and irons, chipping more consistently and even putting better.
I hope to go back every year until I have my game where I want it and have even set my goals higher than before.

This was my third year at Dana Rader Golf School at Ballantyne and the experience is just amazing. I came with two girlfriends and we took part in the "Stay and Play" 3-day school. FYI - be well-rested and make sure you're physically ready for non-stop golf instruction! Our teacher, Jon Meyers, was simply phenomenal. He is enthusiastic and really explains things in ways anyone can understand. I already can't wait to go again. :)
