Beautiful trail from Freedom Park, downtown, to Pineville 13 miles to the south. Out and back, is a scenic 25 miles on well maintained, paved, trail. We rode it 3 days after hurricane Helene and were worried the trail would be closed. It was clean and open! Well done!

We enjoyed this stroll a lot. all paved, easy to navigate and bathrooms here and there. walking along the water was lovely.

Little Sugar Creek Greenway is officially a 4.5 mile path, but it extends two more miles into the city of Pineville unbroken. I was able to complete a half marathon (and then some) this morning. Plenty of shade before the sun got high. Nice creek views along the way. Lots of people out, even on a weekday. Runners and bikers alike. Wide enough for all.

My husband and I spent the morning walking this trail while we were in town visiting friends. We did a few geocaches along the way. We stopped at one of the many benches along the way and had a snack I had brought with us. It is kept very clean and we even saw the blower go by that removes all the leaves and stuff from the path. Wish there was something like this where we live.

We bike this trail often as it is a really nice ride. It does flood when it rains a lot but other than that it is very ridable. We go earlier in the morning as it does get busy in nice weather. At one end is Freedom Park where you can walk, ride or run around the pond and is really nice. The other end where we park is NoDa area. We get about 11 miles biking round trip. Definitely recommend.

We accessed this walking and biking area south of the city. Improvements are underway to make connections all the way from the South Carolina border to Uptown. It will be great when it is finished. It is used by many people for exercise.

The city spent a LOT of money on this (I live outside Charlotte), but it was worth it. I like to have lunch in the Metropolitan shopping area then walk it off on the Greenway.
Highly recommended.

We found ourselves in Charlotte because of Hurricane Dorian and I like to run every day. This is a nice paved greenway that I have run on the last 3 days and I am glad my hotel told me about this trail. I plan to run there one last time tomorrow before ending our stay in Charlotte.

There is much history here, for people who enjoy learning about Charlott'es history. There is a fountain, swings, statutes, this is very fun, gorgeous, and educational, and FREE!!

Great place to excercise (walk, bike, job, run) and/or bring the family to do the same with plenty of available places to park.

It is confusing how this works, but you can check out a bike at any of 24 stations. I know one is at Freedom Park and one is at The Market at 7th St , there are others around town. You pay $8 for a 24 hour pass but from what I heard that is misleading because you have to pay $4 for each 30 minutes after the first 30 minutes. But if you check the bike into a station every 30 minutes you can ride the bike all day for $8. You will have to make sense of that by reading the instructions at the station and googling info for Charlottes B-cycle. But to answer your question the stations are scattered around and the cost to rent one is $8.

OK It's nearly 20 km long - so it needs 4 hours to do all the Trail becaus you need also to go back. How many B Stations are along the Trail? To do it in a discussable way their must be a B Station every 20 Min to not have Risk to get charged more as the initial Paymant. Can you get the 24 Hour Membership on the Spot of a Rental Station? Because Mailing it would not work for someone who is travelling like me..

It is 12 paved miles. Bicycling is allowed so I'm sure that you could rollerblade.
