The Foundation for the Carolinas was closed for a private event - a fact that they did not disclose on their website so we drove 30 mins and walked another 15mins (no parking for the museum) to find that we had wasted half the morning. The very least that can be done is to list on your website that you will be closed.

la possibilité de voir toute la ville avec le reseau tres complet des transports en commun ,je ne comprends pas pourquoi les hotels ne distribue pas les horaires et trajets ,j'ai eu du mal a trouver ,alors charlotte toute une histoire d'amour entre cette ville et moi ,riche en histoire ,en cultures en cuisines cette ville me surprend à chaque fois que j'y vais ,charlotte la belle ,de jour comme de nuit ,

Luski Gallery is definitely a very nice place to visit. I’ve been there a couple of times. Beautiful crystal sculptures & other fine art to view. It was closed for a while due to Covid. The staff was very kind & helpful. They rearranged some of the are due to renovating the Carolina Theater.
My mom asked about the cat artwork that use to be displayed on the main level. Very nice employee took her, my dad, & I upstairs to view the painting of the cat.
I’ve heard wonderful things from friends as well - regarding the Foundation for the Carolinas - It’s a great place for a venue and more.

Beautiful little find in downtown Charlotte. The glass art is gorgeous - boasting the talent of Dale Chihuly and Jon Kuhn. And it’s free! Stop in and take in the sparkle and shine.

I attended a 1-day meeting at the Foundation For the Carolinas facility and found it wonderful. The meeting rooms were excellent and the fabulous art and museum pieces made the venue a fantastic choice. Great paintings, handcrafted objects de art, and blown glass items (including some Chihuly pieces). My understanding is that the exhibit areas are open to visitors with no admission. Well worth a short visit!

During our research on things to do in Charlotte, I ran across this venue that had an exhibit of glass artists. Dale Chihuly is a favorite of ours. But, I do have to say, I was most taken with the glass art of some of the other artists on display here. Jon Kuhn. Herb Jackson.
Admission into the exhibit is free. There is an audio guide for the exhibit, but we did not use it.
The space offers meeting rooms, and from reading other reviews, space for events such as weddings or receptions.

I attended a wedding venue at the Foundation over the weekend and the place is absolutely beautiful !! The security staff downstairs were very nice and accomadating !! Thank you all for such a nice experience !!

This venue was a wonderful setting for the wedding reception. Beautiful art and excellent food & service was enjoyed by all. Excellent view of Charlotte uptown.

This was a great place to host a meeting. The staff was very accommodating. The location is great, although parking can be tricky if you are not careful, after all, it is downtown. The plus size there are plenty of places to eat within walking distance.

This place has beautiful art, especially the glass pieces. I'm not a big fan of the hours, since a lot of people work and thus it is difficult to visit this treasure!
