My wife and I went on the 2.5 ride and had a great time. From check-in thru the ride finish, everything was professionally done. Our 2 trail guides were nice, polite, informative. We had a slight accident on the return trip to the stables, when a lady accidently fell off her horse. she wasn't hurt, but the guides got to her quickly, assessed the situation, notified the stables as to the situation and she was able to get back on the horse and finish the ride. The whole experience with Smokemont was great.

This was a great time horse back riding with beautiful trails and great horses. We went on the waterfall ride. Everyone was super friendly and we would definitely come here again.

Great trip today with guides Heather and Holly. The horses were sweet and easy to handle. Loved the trial and the facts shared by the guides. Perfect for my kids, ranging from 7-21 😁

We had a great experience at Smoke mount riding stables. We’ve been horse back riding only a time or two a few years ago and we’re a little nervous. The staff were great matching us with our horses and going over exactly what we needed to know. Our guide Holly was so very nice and knowledgeable. It was a remarkable experience and we all highly recommend.

Very enjoyable experience. First time ever on a horse and although I was nervous the employees made me feel comfortable.
Would definitely recommend it. Would also do it again. We did the 1 hour ride. Experienced, knowledgeable and friendly guides.

We had a great ride at SmokeMont stables. Our guide was wonderful. Told lots of nice facts and stories to my kids. We were able to have just our family on our ride. The horses were beautiful and did their job well. Trails were nice too. Staff was pleasant and super helpful. I loved being able to make a reservation. Just remember it takes longer than you think to drive through the smokies! This was one of our favorite activities.

We had the absolute best time on the 1 hour tour! They give you clear instructions beforehand, whether you ridden horses before or not. Priscilla was our guide and she was fantastic! We’re here on vacation and she told us where to eat, what to see, etc. You go up into the mountains and walk through a river. And so affordable for prices!

This is a great experience for the novice rider or someone that has never ridden before. If you are an avid or experienced it's nice just for the scenery. The staff are so courteous and helpful. We struck up a conversation with 2 of them and they were just as genuine as one could ask for. Horses were very tame and they take the time to match your experience to the right horse. Just a fun thing to do for couples or families.

It is a great activity in Smokey Mountains.
The people there are friendly and nice. We rode with Autumn the whole tour was fun and enjoyable. Recommend it for everyone

Wonderful stables!!! The horses are very well cared for and it shows! The guides were so friendly and made the ride so enjoyable and informative! Even gave us some great tips about nearby things to see. We did the wagon ride and the 1 hour trail ride. Both were great!! The trail ride goes through the river and through a tunnel which was so fun! Highly recommend!!

Taking at least 3 kids on a ride in a couple weeks and trying to decide on the 1 hour or the 2.5 to the waterfall. The kids are not experienced riders, but they are patient and enjoy being outdoors etc. Ages 11, 9, and 6.5
Just looking for thoughts on which tour. If anyone thinks the 2.5 hr would be too long for them to maintain interest.
Hi Jen, typically if the kids enjoy horses and are excited about going they would do fine on the 2.5 hour ride. However if they're not too interested in the horses some of the younger children may fall asleep with the rocking motion of a horse.
How strict are they about the 249lb weight limit listed on the website?

1 hr ride is $35 per rider. 2.5 hr ride is $87.50 per rider. 4 hr ride is $140 per rider. Wagon ride is $15 per rider.
