We drove through here and it all looked very nice of an area to come and have something to eat and relax to Dine outside seating.

We took a relaxing stroll through this area just before Christmas. Very impressed with the layout, the atmosphere, and the stores. Looks like an area we would enjoy just sitting and watching activities. We took a few photos with their Christmas displays as well

Nice assortment of shops and restaurants/bars. We walked around checking out the area during our recent trip to Lake Hickory. There is outside seating at several dining places with the tables socially distanced. There is a old WWI cannon on the main square along with a nice covered area for group meetings and/or concerts.
We did visit the Farmers Market as we were there on a Wednesday morning. Although it was small, there was a nice assortment of local produce and merchandise.
We would have spent a lot more time here if it wasn't in the middle of a pandemic. Seems like a really nice place to hang out and spend some quality time with friends and family.

We were visiting Hickory for a day. Already ate dinner somewhere else before we discovered this fun area to hangout. Lots of activity. A fun place to grab a beer or eat outdoors. Or just walk around.

we have one of the best up towns in NC. great stores and eateries. nice farmers market in season and sidewalks....a fun place

Easy access to the bars and restaurants as well as shops on Union Square. They're finishing the stage where they will have performers each week. Very nicely done.

This place is torn up and common areas fenced off. However, it is undergoing a major renovations and is supposed to be completed this fall. The merchants are still open so go support them during this time.

Union Square in downtown Hickory was an enjoyable place to visit on an early Sunday afternoon even with most shops closed for the day. We had a brief stroll and enjoyed the monuments and learned a bit about Hickory and her history. We'll return again on a weekday when more shops and stores are open for exploring and the Farmers' Market is open.

visited the farmer market , suggestion open at 9 am also visited hickory station for lunch parking is a problem at the farmers market
