I had an amazing time rafting with you guys! I've been white water rafting at a lot of places but nobody measured up to you guys. I was in the group with the Coker College students and I wouldn't of changed a thing. Also our raft guides were fun and gave us a lot of interesting information.

Huck Finn is a family owned White Water Rafting business, they are really great with all levels of rafters. We are beginners, and this was our first experience. Our guide was funny, informative, and had loads of anecdotes during our 4+ hour trip. We did all levels of rafting on the French Broad River, and look forward to our next White Water rafting adventure

Myself and two Buds were referred to Huck Finn by Pete at the Mountain Magnolia Inn. We had a great time with them. Our guide, Justin was a Hoot!! and a great raft captain also. The rapids on the French Broad were a little disappointing, but they made the trip very fun!! If you have never been rafting before, this would be a great starter run. I also recommend doing the full trip, you will be disappointed if you don't because it goes by fast. The full trip includes a lunch. The water temp is around 70 degrees in August, so swim trunks and T-shirt is perfect.

Because we had never been white water rafting, and didn't know what to expect, we originally signed up for the shorter trip. The owner talked me into taking the longer trip...and I am soooo glad he did. Every minute of the trip, from the time we got our instructions, to the ride to the site, and of course the rafting, was a blast. If you are afraid that you are too old, or out of shape, don't worry. I'm 50 and way out of shape, but I hung with the best of them. The guides are funny and informative and they interact so well together. They truly have a "team spirit" about them. Ashley was our guide on the river. She was WONDERFUL!!
One tip: get there early, or stay later. The little town is great to walk around in. We bought some great souvenirs there.

My husband and I went white water rafting today for the first time, and it was great!! From the people in the shop, to our guide we were quite pleased with our experience. There has been a lot of rain lately, which made for a much faster ride. Opt for the longer trip, the best rapids are after halfway point. As soon as we got off, I was ready to go again!! My only complaint was the person doing pictures for them, wasn't doing them our day, but other than that, no issues at all!! Thanks to huck finn rafting for making our first time a great experience!

Everyone was super friendly and the place was very easy to find. My wife and I took our 8 year old on his first white water trip. Class 4 rapids was a fast as we got, and that was plenty for us! A great trip from start to finish. I recommend the long course. And when you get the chance to jump off the tock at the first stop JUMP! Even my boy did it without hesitation! He loved it! The photos on the website were a little expensive. We opted for the whole disk.

We knew we were going rafting and we knew we wanted to go on the French Broad, because it's much warmer than the other local rivers, but you still have a lot of choices of raft companies. We chose Huck Finn after reading the reviews and checking out their website and seeing they were a small family owned and operated business-and honestly, the ichthys on the page helped with our decision. We made the right choice! Everyone there was super nice. We went on Monday and had a small group. After a short van ride to the river and instructions from our guide, we were off. Our guide was amazing-not only did he know the river well enough to know exactly where to go, but he did the majority of the work. He was very knowledgable about the area and rafting and we enjoyed the whole trip. The class 4 rapids were so much fun and though we came close, no one fell out. We took our 9 and 13 year-olds and they're ready to go back. If you go, remember to tip your guide at the end- they deserve it and I felt really bad to see some leave without doing so.

The people at Huck Finn are wonderful. We booked a rafting trip and horseback riding combo trip. The rafting trip was amazing. Our guide made sure we felt safe while having a great time. I highly recommend Huck Finn rafting to anyone looking for a great white water rafting trip. The horseback riding was also great.

I found the staff at Huck Finn to be very friendly and knowledgeable. Not only did we feel safe, our guide, Justin, had great information about the geography and geology of the area. My son is in his early twenties and the 9 mile trip gave him plenty of occasions for smiles. We have rafted in other areas and this was definitely in our top 2. The facilities at the office are great for changing and plenty of supplies are available for purchase or rental. Great experience overall!

We loved it! The river was pretty high, so it didn't take as long. Our guide knew what we could handle, and we had a great ride. Doug knew a ton about the river, and also the area. Very informative, but also fun.
