Chilled and good facilities. Lovely woodland for BBQ's and white sandy beach with great views, not too busy and a great spot for families and groups. A little out of the way, so you need your own transport.

Lovely beach, gentle sloping waters, white sands and a really great place to relax and enjoy the Scottish summer - can get busy so walk further up for quiet spot!

We cycled to the beach from Findhorn and it's absolutely stunning, a real gem.
There is a lovely bridleway to cycle along if a little hard going though some of the dune bits but really picturesque.

Absolutely beautiful. Walks through the forest, some easy some moderate. Beach is beautiful. Parking is great £2 for all day. Food van within forest, play park. This place is lovely.

Spent the afternoon here, it was great day out, the kids loved playing on the soft sand, the water & exploring. The burger van was a hit too, the food was amazing, if you have the a dry day then I’d highly recommend, beautiful views too.

This beach is beautiful, easy to park, lovely clean sand and gorgeous views, both in the woods and the beach.
We got married here just over a week ago and look forward to making return trips here in the future and remembering our special day in this special place.

A wonderful beach to walk your dog, miles of beautiful clean sand. Great look out point from the top of the dunes, great photo opportunities, Magnificent woods for hikes, dog walking and BBQ's - try a breakfast bbq. can't be faulted!

Oooh this is one of the most impressive and well-served beaches in the north.
At a time when so many other beauty spots in Scotland are being crowded, misused and abused, Roseisle - while very busy - seemed to have fewer miscreants than we have heard of in other places.
On the day nearby Kinloss became the hottest place in Scotland at 29°C, the large crowds were mostly staying in family and friendship groups and - with the vast new sandy spaces left by the outgoing tide - it made sense to have your own wee socially-distant bubble closer to the water, leaving the softer sand for those who had been there all day.
The car parks in the trees are vast, and nicely shaded by this old forest, which apparently keeps the beautiful dunes from shifting away. There are toilets and a small play area for children, but the main attraction is the huge expanse of warm sand and shallow water.
A helicopter's hovering arrival caused a bit of a flurry as people rapidly pulled frowned-upon inflatables out of the waves and team-humphed them up the by-now long beach. There was some relief when people realised the aircraft (Coastguard, we assumed) was not there to police, but to help a casualty who was stretchered from the sand further west.
A lovely afternoon with very few alarms on hygiene or distancing.
Good points: There was sanitiser and two-at-a-time entry at the toilets, even at the end of the day; the many dogs were being kept under control or so well behaved they didn't have to be ... at least in our section.
Bad points: Empty plastic water bottles left at a viewpoint seat with bins close by; drivers who queue-jumped by avoiding the parking pay machine (it's only a couple of £s); a soiled and sodden nappy (diaper) chucked on the forest floor just yards from the toilets; the amount of toilet paper wasted and strewn across the cubicle floors; the woman who spent ages drying and changing her children in the ladies while a needy queue built up and nobody wanted to break the two-person rule.
* It was only when someone walked the entire length of Roseisle beach with a pony, I recalled that - as a teenager - I'd galloped along these very golden sands on a white horse called John Silver. Nobody else in sight at that bygone time. So glad many people are able to enjoy Roseisle these days.
And I'm not sad about the horse because I doubt if either of us would be fit for such a feat these days.
If you visit this lovely place, please take your rubbish home or place it in the bins. Keep it a treat for all.

This is without doubt a long sandy beach which is close to Burghead and the views of the town from it are excellent. Inland is a forest which we did not have time to explore.

Roseisle is a lovely spot, with a picnic area in the car park and well-kept loos! There are some way-marked walks from the car park, but it's not a forest you could get lost in, and there's also the option to get down onto the lovely sandy beach. If you are feeling really energetic, you can walk all the way to Burghead -either on the beach, or through the trees where there's also a track that was once part of a local railway line. Great for dogs and kids!

Head West out of Elgin heading towards Burghead, a few miles before Burghead take a left at some cross roads (sign says forest walks and Beach 2 miles. You should be on an open road behind the forest. Once past he very large Rosie Isle Distillery turn right onto a small road with a brown sign saying Rosie isle into the forest.
