Great place to sit and have a drink. Very laid back. Local beers and they allow food from great nearby restaurants.

A must if you are anywhere near Marion! This California girl now feels like I have a second home in Marion, North Carolina and it is all because I happened upon this amazing spot, Refinery 13, while passing through. I was greeted by Sarah, the owner, who invited me in with a warmth and kindness that was matched by the rest of her staff. I watched as everyone was treated like family, and between that and the incredible selection of craft beer from all around North Carolina, I found myself still there over 4 hours later. I left with new friends and a love for this small town that has me already planning for a trip back! Everything about this place is quality. The vibe, the art, the beer, the people... you can feel that the heartbeat of the place is family, community, and connection. The art by local artists that decorate the space adds to the unique vibe and town pride. Marion is very lucky to have this special spot “where everybody knows your name and they’re always glad you came.” Even if you are just passing through.

Nice people, lots of good beer on tap. Knowledgeable staff help with options. I can't wait to come back next time we're in Marion.

Refinery 13 is the first taproom in our small town, and features beer and wine from local breweries and wineries. There is a $1 membership fee to join. They do offer some light snacks like locally made cheese curds and hummus. The decor is so beautiful, with a lot of emphasis on comfort, and the staff (all family) is very accommodating. You feel like a member of the family here. Refinery 13 is a welcome addition here, we are excited to have a local place for enjoying local beer and wine.
