The main selling point of this restaurant is definitely the atmosphere. The views are great, it's a fun place with cool lights and good music. Most of the staff was very accommodating and kind, although our waitress wasn't the best. The menu has a good variety of items and there's definitely something for everyone. It's reasonably priced and the service was fast! Our food was good, nothing special, but not bad at all!

The food is tasteful. Everything i ate, i loved. The waitress is so nice and kind. You can take your pet with you to enjoy the day at the lake view.

We were pontooning on Like Norman and wanted lunch and I had been there before and so had my son-in-law and daughter so we 'tied up' at their docks and went in.
Waitress was efficient and friendly ... food was OK ... atmosphere was great (no inside seating) ... small area for kids to play.
All beers are in blottles

5 stars on so many levels. Restaurant atmosphere is everything you would expect at a lake front restaurant. We were served timely at the bar ( we had put our names in for a table) ordered delicious appetizer nachos while we waited on table. We waited a very short time before being seated at a lakeside table. Food was delicious. Highly recommend the entrees. Waitstaff and management/ Owner gave the absolute best service all around hands down. We will definitely recommend this restaurant to our family and friends traveling to the area. We plan to return on next trip. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Blue Parrot Grill is good when compared to other LKN waterfront pubs. Ultimately the food is average, but most visitors come for the waterfront location and, evidently, to drink. They had a long list of mixed drinks and a few bottled beers on their menu (no draft beer). We were there on a cool Saturday afternoon and we were able to get a seat quickly. The staff was attentive and polite. The kids liked the grilled cheese, but did not eat the sweet potato fries (no seasoning on the fries). The burgers were properly cooked and the price was comparable to Bad Daddy's (but I'd rather have a Bad Daddy's burger - my 8-year old agrees). I agree with other reviewers in that you probably really come here for a drink with friends.

The Blue Parrot Grill is a fun place which you can get to by boat or car. Good food, and right on Lake Norman. Enjoy dinner with your family and in the evening, you can dance and enjoy music.

We (7Adults/7Kids) arrived at the lake on a Friday afternoon for lunch. We arrived on boats and had to park in the back side of the main dock. It’s a little tricky/busy for a novice, especially if it is windy, so take your time. There were about six, very expensive cigarette boats tied up next to us on departure and that made it a little nerve racking. We were sat immediately for lunch and placed drink orders. We were a large group and I expected to have to wait a bit for our drinks but 15 minutes, I thought that was a little extreme as the place was not yet really busy. Some of the group had tropical drinks, they were OK. I had a margarita that was horrible but thankfully someone in the group took a bullet for me and switched (I don’t send things back in a restaurant). Our food came out fast which was good and it was just OK. The Apps we ordered were actually better than the mains. I’m not sure that I would go back and I cant blame our experience on our Server, she was pretty good. One recommendation I would make to the owners is to change up the music. I love music while eating but the music here was loud and was almost the same song over and over again; uptempo Caribbean dance/pop. If you are going for that vibe, why not put on Bob Marley’s Legends CD or something similar. Cost for 2 adults/ 2 kids w/ drinks was around $100 (tip incl).

Skip the bar food except the ahi sandwich. The view, location and guacamole will keep you coming back. It's covered if it rains and misters run in late summer to make this place a great place to hang on LKN.

My Mom & I enjoyed lunch at this little grill. We were here in March so it wan’t too hot to sit on the deck. We enjoyed the view of the Lake & watching the boats go by. Lunch was good but nothing to get excited about. I’d return but more for the view than the food.
