The museum exhibits focus on the history of Mt. Airy and region. Very interesting a great displays. I liked, in particular, the old fire department trucks. If in Mount Airy, I recomment a stop at the museum.

The museum is still being built but what they have is done very well. This museum is about the town and people that also came from the area. There is a small amount of things about Andy, most of his history in in his museum. It is worth stopping by.

The pioneer & log cabin room was very well done and full of history. No trains were running in the train room. Lots of construction in other areas. The Victorian parlor had furniture and items but no information or lifestyle description. The 'Crime of the Century" was interesting but had to go on the internet to understand what happened. The Celebrity area is behind glass which makes it very hard to see anything, Nothing on third floor. The tower was so hot we couldn't stay.

First Museum that we went to. If you are into History of the Area and development than this was the place to visit.

What a great museum! Well worth the $6!!!

Four floors of local history covers the eras from native American to Victorian, to newer era. Very well done for a regional museum.

Small charge to get in, worth it. 4 floors of Mt Airy History. Very nice time to see local history. Well set up and very informative.

This is a fascinating place! There are 4 floors of exhibits ~ everything from the days of the Indians and early Europeans thru today. They are currently remodeling the children's area, but everything else was wonderful! It is worth spending a couple of hours seeing this.

Pleasant staff and surroundings. Well laid out and able to go at your own pace. We learned much about the area. My husband was interested in the granite quarry and we learned about it here.

Hi! The Mount Airy Regional History Museum costs Adults $6
Seniors (65+) $5 and Students $4
The Andy Griffith Museum costs $6 and you can pay $2 more to rent an audio tour
I don't know the cost of the Mule Rides but they are most Saturdays (some have been cancelled this year for the excessive heat at the end of July and beginning of August) They don't show their prices online anywhere. If I can get that information, I'll post another response to your question here.
