Such HELPFUL, FRIENDLY, and KNOWLEDGEABLE STAFF! We left with many brochures and much great advice! We highly recommend a pop-in here!

A great place to pop into for all sorts of information on (and around) the area. The staff was fantastic! So helpful. They would call various shoppes and attractions to make sure they were open before you went to visit. They have a plethora of brochures on all the activities, restaurants, and attractions nearby! A very valuable place to pop into!

Walking around downtown we stumbled on the Welcome Center. It is very comfortable inside, with rocking chairs and restrooms available. Lots of brochures and information about Murphy and the surrounding area. The lady who worked there was very friendly and helpful. We always recommend stopping at a Visitor's Center when you are vacationing. They have lots of helpful information.

Friendly staff

This visitor center is located right downtown. The lady working there was very helpful answering questions and suggesting things to do in the area. It's a very good place to start to plan your stay if visiting the area.

We meet very nice lady there, who was very helpful and provided a lot of useful information. Parking was easy. Restroom was nice. Definitely, this place is worth your time.

Definitely a fine place to stop if you want to know about the local area. My Mother and I ducked inside during a brief heavy rainshower, and we were told quite a bit by the woman inside (I feel bad for missing her name). There are a good amount of pamphlets detailing a lot of local attractions and such.

Hi about 7 of us our staying in Murphy NC during Thanksgiving. Can you give me some places to take my family to eat a Thanksgiving dinner. Buffet would be nice.

If I was in your place I would choose The Murphy Chop House. It was our choice to take our guests and we all were pleased.

Theresa, just noticed that you were at the Murphy Visitor Center. I guess our map wasn't very useful for the River Walk. Sorry that you didn't enjoy but thank you for the nice comments about our staff. FYI, we are funded totally by occupancy tax and do our best to provide information to our visitors. Thank you and hope you visit again.

Try the Forest Ranger Station in Murphy for information about hiking and walking trails. I found their maps very helpful and their staff knowledgeable.They have an interesting store with books on the history and culture of the area.
