We cannot say enough good things about our "monitor" named Max. He fully grasped that we were just two couples who just wanted to have fun and succeed at a few puzzles or get some locks unlocked. We are escape room novices who were visiting the town and were headed to dinner immediately after.
The 60 minutes passed so quickly and with many hints we were out with forty SECONDS remaining. Thank you Bear Towne and Max.

We had a blast solving the clues with our niece’s who are 16 & 13, they did great!!
Best of all we made it out with 2 minutes and 11 seconds left!

This is one of the best kept secrets for family fun in the area! New Bern is known for its wonderful history, so this activity is usually overlooked; however, I would highly recommend to anyone in the area to make time to try and escape. Not that I know from personal experience, but even if you don’t escape, you will enjoy the time spent in lockdown with family and friends.

Very fun escape room! I have come here multiple times with my family through the years and enjoyed every escape room we did. Its challenging enough to keep you busy and definitely race against time but not too challenging so you can bring children and first time escape room players also!

WOW! This place is awesome! I took my friend here to help him with his sadness after a break up and now he's finally normal again! Frick you Samantha for cheating on my friend! But he's all better thanks to Bear Towne Escape Room! Thanks guys!

Great fun! We chose the "Secrets of the Pharoah" and it did not disappoint. Besides the fantastic decor, the puzzles were very challenging yet not too difficult. The staff was fantastic and when asking for clues, they gave just enough information without giving it away. Definitely will be back!

We had a great time doing Secrets of the Pharoh! We had 3 adults and one child, and were able to finish with a few minutes to spare with only one hint. It was challenging enough for the adults, but had elements that the child could solve without becoming frustrated.

Extraordinary experience . We are five mature adults who met just three months ago. We came to the escape room with no knowledge of what to expect. The staff were extraordinarily patient with us. I highly recommend it for all ages.

We went as a family: mom and dad and 2 adult kids (early 20s). We did the Witches Aftermath 2.0 room and had a lot of fun. It was excellent and a lot of fun.

Kudos to Damien at Bear Town Escape! What fun! We had a great time with Deadly Die-agnosis.
I was the only first-timer of my group. Everything was explained thoroughly, even the Covid regulations they were following.
This was a great way to ease me into escape rooms. Just tough enough. So fun for our group. We can't wait to check out the other two experiences

Are these escape rooms “scary”? The pictures on the website that go along with the description of each room seemed frightening to younger children, and even adults.
