When we were there this past summer, the upper parking lot was only closed on the weekends due to heavy amount of visitors. To be sure you can call the visitor center office.

perhaps 45 minutes. You just head north on Route 52, and you are there. Easy drive.

You can drive up to the lookout point. There is an easily assessable overlook with stunningly views. It is a beautiful place.

Unfortunately it is totally shut down along with most other state parks due to covid 19. Can't wait for them to start opening back up myself.

A bit of a steep drive, but not until you get to the top and walk to a lookout can you get a clear view of the rocks. Quite worth the short walk, however, though it can get windy and cold quite fast.

There are several picnic tables adjacent to the parking lot at the top of the mountain. They also have charcoal grills available for some of them.
