At a Nicki Minaj concert, the smoking and weed smoking in the arena was horrible. Asked customer service if we could change seats because of the smoking and was told that we had to purchase new seats at ticket master. I would never come to another event at PNC.

I went to go see Melanie Martinez with my mom and we had such a great time. There were some great features to this arena and some not so great. I'll break it down here!
Getting to the Arena:
•Pretty straight-forward entrance, especially if you turn on GPS to guide you. There are cops lined down the street to help with traffic and it was relatively easy to find.
Traffic/Parking:
•When entering the Arena for parking, there are multiple general parking options you can turn into. There are lanes that wrap around the entire venue, with lots of workers around to answer your questions or direct you. They are all very nice. Since parking costs money here, we bought our parking pass ahead of time via ParkWhiz. A bit pricey, to be honest, especially just for parking itself. VIP/Premier parking costs even more. I don't believe I paid anything for parking last time I was there, which was some years ago, but still. Your ParkWhiz ticket is scanned before you park. Parking spaces are numbered, making it easier to find your parking space after the event.
Getting Into the Venue:
•Once you're parked, you have to wait in line to enter the arena. There are K-9 units sniffing around for weapons and such while you wait. They're not invasive at all, and they don't get too close. There are multiple entrances to line up at, so it never felt too crowded to me, even though it was a sold out show. Once you hit the doors, you put your bags/keys/metal items in a plastic box so you can step through the detector. Most people breeze through this unless they have something that triggers the detector, then they are wanded down. Again, not invasive at all-- everyone working there is very kind and professional.
Finding Your Seats:
•Once inside, you get your tickets scanned via phone. Seat numbers are labeled in bold paint above entrance to the inner arena, which was extremely helpful. In the entrance hall, there are multiple options for refreshments, though of course they cost a pretty penny and they didn't take cash. When you enter the inner arena from the entrance hall, there are even more refreshment options and bathrooms. There are stairs labeled with letters (from your ticket) and attendants that are more than willing to help you find your seat. I was honestly blown away by how kind and professional everyone at this venue was.
The Event:
•The seats were probably my biggest gripe of the whole thing, as they are very small and SUPER close together. I don't mind being close during a concert but I'm also a bit claustrophobic and don't like touching strangers all night when I'm trying to enjoy myself. I can't imagine anyone bigger than me trying to enjoy themselves here and what a shame that is. There also isn't any room for your refreshments besides some cup holders for drinks, but they still feel in the way of other event attendees. The sound system and visuals were really amazing, though. My view from 118T was really lovely-- a bit off to the side and not so far away as to feel like I couldn't see Melanie from the stage. My mom and I had a blast and we were fortunate enough to have some really cool seatmates.
Leaving:
•We left as soon as the concert stopped and exited quickly to beat the traffic. Leaving was definitely far easier than coming in, in terms of traffic.
Summary:
•Pros: easy access via vehicle/parking pass, great sound and visuals, super friendly and professional employees. Efficiency is top notch here, and safety is a huge priority, which I appreciate.
•Cons: Very pricey. From tickets to refreshments, to parking. Small, cramped seating-- not very inclusive. Stairs are very steep and numerous, so prepare for that if you have walking impairments by looking up accessibility options for the arena. They do have them but they weren't straightforward to me just going there, it must be researched.

It is actually a pretty cool arena — and was an amazing concert—my beef is with the $40 for parking charge! I was so upset. Between the ticket prices and the parking expense—rhetorical question, but how on earth does the average person afford to have fun these days? Also, they didn’t organize an exit strategy. Was way too hard to get out of there after the concert was over.

I wouldn’t even give this piece of crap one star. This arena is TRASH. They specifically turn the vending machines around so you can’t get a bottle of water for less than $10, which I’m pretty sure is illegal. Seats are ridiculously small. The is no food unless you want to spend $20 on a sandwich with no sides. Carolina fans are trashy and ignorant.

We stopped at PNC arena in my stop around the NHL to see every arena. We were in section 325, right in the first row up the stairs to the left. It was a great view, (pictured) and we were very happy with it until the third period where a man on a scooter appeared out of nowhere and blocked the entire zone to where we couldn’t see what was happening, (pictured).
I immediately notified the usher and she told me that there was nothing she could do as this person was higher up than her. Huh?! So i told her to get whomever was HIS boss over there then because we couldn’t see what was going on! When patrons are paying over $300, especially for upper bowl tickets, they deserve to see clearly what’s going on. Now, the man that was blocking our view I heard them call him “big Ed” or something. They used him as a glorified mascot who blew the horn during breaks. Eventually a supervisor came over and told him he had to move “because someone was complaining.” Uhh, yeah. Sorry I’d like to see the hockey game we paid a lot of money to see…? I was to understand later that we were sitting in somebody’s season ticket seats and they had actually changed THEIR seats. Weird. I find it hard to believe that season ticket holders would be ok with half the ice being blocked by “big Ed.”
Another thing that baffled me was the dippin dots. If you wanted ONLY dippin dots ice cream, you could pay the lower price and get it in a regular cup. If you wanted the souvenir helmet for an extra price, however, the lady told me that they were not allowed to put dippin dots in the souvenir cup, only the none dippin dot ice cream could go in there. Huh?! I was dumbfounded. I remarked that was pretty dumb, and the lady dismissed me and said she didn’t make the rules, just enforced them. Wow. So I reluctantly got an ice cream flavor I didn’t want because I wanted the souvenir helmet cup, but PNC Arena, PLEASE review your policy on dippin dots as well as your disabled workers blocking patrons view of the ice!
In a more positive light, we got a souvenir popcorn bucket Zamboni that was only $30 bucks with unlimited refills, and our section was right outside a popcorn booth! Pro tip- if you get the popcorn bucket you are basically a VIP and can skip the line, just go to the side where people are waiting for their order and hold out your bucket and they will refill for you and get you on your way.
The food we had each gotten ourselves included a pizza and beer, which was pretty decent. The beer itself, called “storm brew,” was excellent and also pretty cheap at $8 each was a pretty great deal. My kid had gotten the loaded French fries in a souvenir puck bowl. Value was really good. And lastly, my wife had gotten the chicken tenders which she said might just be the best ones she’s ever had at a hockey game, and I agreed because they were really good!
Parking was $25 and we got out very quickly as they have a system there that works pretty smoothly to get you on your way in about 10 minutes. Well done!
So all in all, PNC arena had the potential to be a really great experience, but policies and procedures for a few things left us baffled. Also, we had wanted to get a game puck for our collection, but PNC arena only does game pucks for Friday-Sunday games, so keep that in mind if you are hoping to grab a game puck with the date/who is playing.

We went to see Toto and Journey. The venue is large, but there is not enough room between the rows to sit comfortably. My knees were digging in the back of the seat in front of me and I had to sit "stick straight". My boyfriend is tall and he had to sit with his legs spread wide apart just so he could sit in his seat. We spent more time standing up than we did sitting, so that we were more comfortable. We have been here before, and I don't remember it being that cramped. I don't know if other sections are spaced differently. We paid $40 to park, which is outrageous, and then had to walk half a mile to get to the door. On a whole, the venue is nice and offers many food and drink options, and the sound is terrific.

My mother and I attended the Andrea Bocelli concert on Valentine’s Day at the PNC Arena. It was the best concert and venue we have attended! My mother is turning 91 in April and the employees were so kind and helpful. They looked at mom’s seat assignment and immediately took us to Guest Services to change her seat to eliminate some stair climbing. We were so blessed by their professional graces that we are still talking about our experience. It was a 5 star night all around including the beautiful music! This was a bucket list wish for my mom and she couldn’t be any happier about how things went. Thank you all for a wonderful evening and memory. PE

Incredible venue to watch a hockey game. The crowd, atmosphere and view are all pretty incredible and the seats (while smaller on the 3rd level) are still quite comfortable. The food options are various and the beer prices are fair for a sports venue. I only notes I would add is that aside from beer the prices on liquor are incredibly high and there should be a souvenir size cup option for sodas and popcorn. Aside from that this is a great place to watch a hockey game at a pretty reasonable price.

Parking was ok (prepaid via whiz), the arena itself is super easy to reach. However the food is not good at all and terribly overpriced... That's just the same for drinks. Apart from that the Canes game we went to was awesome.

Do they let you in with an unopened water bottle? Going to a concert there next week. Thank you!
撰写日期:2024年9月7日
Are signs allowed for hockey games? If so, do they have to be a certain size? I know a couple of other arena are strict on size, like for example, can't be anymore than 14x14.
撰写日期:2020年3月12日
We saw people with signs, I don’t know about size limits other than they should not annoy those seated near you.

I am planning on seeing the Bruins play in Carolina on March 31st. Tickets seem reasonable compared to other away venues like Madison Square Garden in New York and the Bell Centre in Montreal. I am wondering if fans are allowed to stand against the glass during warmups to get pucks from players?
撰写日期:2020年2月19日
How is parking? I’ve never been to Raleigh or PNC arena. Do I need to pre purchase a parking pass or will it be readily available? It’s for a concert.
撰写日期:2019年10月6日
They make it really easy to park. You might walk a little but there is plenty of parking
撰写日期:2019年10月7日
Any good restaurants near the venue? Looking for a place to eat before our concert.
撰写日期:2019年8月19日
Only the Backyard Bistro is close. there is a restaurant IN the arena that typically opens early before concerts and has a buffet type meal. If you get to Backyard bistro go early because you can pay to leave your car there and walk to the arena

If a show starts at 7:30, with traffic how early should I order Lyft to get there from the airport? Thanks.
撰写日期:2019年1月15日
Actually the airport is fairly close to the arena. The distance is not the problem, The traffic, on the other hand can be horrendous. We stayed in Raleigh (about the same distance) and it took an hour. Give it a minimum of an hour. If it is a weekday, maybe 30 minutes more.
撰写日期:2019年1月15日
If you plan to arrive early to stand in line for best floor concert positioning, do they start letting ticket holders in any sooner than one hour prior to concert start time? Also, are there any outdoor facilities available for people arriving to park early and wait in line?
撰写日期:2019年1月6日
They are pretty punctual with most events. Expect to get in exactly an hour before, though the line will certainly begin long before the doors open for popular concerts.
For outdoor facilities, it is a bit hit or miss. There are often some portable toilets around, but not always. If you go in main doors on either side, though, there are indoor restrooms accessible to the public before going through security (ask someone if you can't find them).
Other facilities? Probably no food or anything like that for sure.

What’s the best place to be dropped off by Lyft for Section 114?
撰写日期:2018年11月18日
There is no bad place. Easy to maneuver once inside. Wouldn’t worry.

Raleigh North Carolina PNC Arena: we can't decide which hotel chain to want to stay with (we isually do Marriotts)...our choices are the comfort Suites across from the PNC arena or the Hyatt Place one block down.... Help!!!
撰写日期:2017年4月17日
The Hyatt in my opinion is nicer, but since you're going to an event at the PNC Arena, I would say go ahead with Comfort Suites. It is very nice, closer and there are some food options near by.
