While doing research for my Raleigh trip, this place was frequently mentioned. Maybe my expectations were too high after all the recommendations. While it was cool to see how chocolate is made and there were helpful signs/ information- there wasn’t a good traffic flow and it was quite small (~10 minutes to walk through). The chocolate is high end- I was hoping for some fun, unique flavors (maybe I just haven’t acquired this taste). I didn’t try the coffee or ice cream so maybe that’s where I missed out 🤷♀️

I visited this chocolate factory yesterday as part of my Mother’s Day celebration. This was my first time visiting this factory. It seems to be quite popular as there were lines to buy chocolate as well as lines to buy coffee.
It’s a bit small inside, and it was crowded yesterday. The chocolate was rich and there were a variety of different tasty flavors. What I enjoyed most about this visit, however, was that they allow their customers to tour the actual chocolate factory. Although the factory workers were off during the weekend, it still gave me a good idea of what happens and equipment that is used.

I suggest stopping by the icecream window at Videri Chocolate Factory. Now this sounds counter intunitive but skip the chocolate icecream and go vanilla with whatever fresh fruit compote is avaliable. It will blow you away.

A fun place to visit with a self guided short tour, expensive chocolate to buy and pay to park which was unfortunate. Worth a look if you're already in the area.

We recently visited the Videri Chocolate Factory, and it was very interesting. They were not actually making chocolate on the weekend, so that would likely have enhanced our experience. But the workers were very friendly and let us try a wide variety of chocolate. Don't miss the Sipping Chocolate at the coffee shop inside - it tastes like drinking a delicious dark chocolate bar. And the mocha coffees were also outstanding. The chocolate is very expensive, but it's very tasty. Definitely worth a visit, although this is a small place.

This is an awesome place to head for coffee or an afternoon ice cream. Just didn't know what to have first! You can spend some time perusing the little chocolate factory and then relax with both inside and outside areas to sit and enjoy your treat. Black and White offers various espresso coffees as well as their famous Frozen Hot Chocolate. On the soft serve side, there are many toppings to compliment your cone/cup. The chocolate is delicate, rich and to die for! I had the chocolate soft serve and it was without a doubt the BEST and richest I have ever had. There are a variety of fresh chocolate pieces or bars on display for purchase. As a Celiac I really appreciate that this facility is Gluten Free.

The self-guided "tour" is 30 ft of hallway seeing machines behind the glass that are not even working at least on the weekends and reading a couple posters. We were not offered any free samples. The Ice cream is very good, just not sure what it has to do with a chocolate factory

Try the sipping chocolate!!!! Had to return to Videri the day we left Raleigh to get another sipping chocolate.

They have a few great flavors of gourmet chocolate made there with beans sourced from Tanzania, Ecuador, Dominican Republic, and Guatemala. They were testing one from another location I don’t recall. The sipping chocolate was really great. I’m not a fan of soft serve ice cream, but my kids liked it, especially the little chocolate topping hats. My daughter would love to go back with friends. I may visit again with friends or family. The chocolate was interesting, definitely above average and on a whole darker than the European chocolates I prefer. I’m not a coffee drinker, but seems like it would probably mix well with it. They have chocolate bonbons and a few flavors in other varieties but none of them really stood out to me. Overall I would recommend if you like gourmet dark chocolate with very little additives.
