When planning visiting Esperance I was a little taken back by the idea of a Stonehenge in Australia, let alone in Esperance. So I made a priority to visit and see for myself. I was not disappointed, in fact rather blown away by sheer size and engineering of the structure. And it is to scale of the English Stonehenge!
The morning was overcast with the threat of rain, so the lighting was not quite a dramatic as I had envisioned. But to stand in the middle and look around, realising that each granite block is resting on the others and not secured anywhere, is mind blowing. Full credit to the farmers whose dream it was to build this not only as a tribute to the UK structure but also as a tourist attraction for Esperance. Thank you for your vision.
It is well worth the nominal fee entrance just to experience it. There is a small café and entrance area with a variety of souvenirs and such. Public restrooms are available.
Return? Yes and hopefully I pick a day when the sun is shining, I can already see the dramatic lighting on the pink granite with giant shadows cast.

.... this place is as eerie and spectacular as the original .. and this one is complete... and will last longer too ... as it is not sandstone ... but local pink granite .. with story to book

This is a really well done replica of the original Stonehenge in the UK. It was interesting to learn about what went into building this, and how they really thought about how particular light will line up with it etc. Definitely worth a visit, much better than I expected.

We have seen the original one in England which was very mystical, but this was still a good experience and enjoyed our time here.
The seniors discount could of been a little more.
There is a very nice lady Sue who tells you all the history of how it was built and there is a small souvenir shop also where you can buy coffee.

With 30 years in civil contracting , the visit to Esperance Full scale Stonehenge blew me away . To consider this structure will outlast the original is incredible .

Stonehenge in England is a truly remarkable place, it's presence, scale and history is just daunting
Stonehenge at Esperance is also truly remarkable, but in a totally different way.
Never in our travels have we ever come across such a plastic, hideous, amateurish attempt at creating something that comes closer to something that you would build from supermarket giveaway tokens than what this place is supposed to look like.
Save your money and enjoy the grandeur of the Cape Le grande National Park.

I did not believe the locals who said how calming this place was. I walked in and it a few times, and they are correct, you do feel so calm and serene inside this.

Unexpectedly great. We cycled here from Esperance and were pleasantly surprised. I didn't expect the aura / feel of the place to be so special. My cycling friends said much the same.
We were greeted very pleasantly by staff and when we gathered in the carpark (too many to be indoors) were treated to a potted history of both the original Stone Henge and also this fabulous replica.

Hi,
You'd only need an hour maybe 1.5 hours at the site. It depends how much you know and are into stone henge. I took an hour and my friends where in and out in 30minutes.

No the road is very dangerous and it’s illegal to park on the roadside as there are no parking signs. You can’t appreciate this amazing structure by looking at it as you drive past. It’s well worth paying the small entry fee to experience the serenity and magnificence of this replica.
