Amazing artwork made a very nice surprise on our early morning bike ride. We didn’t know about it. Had arrived the previous night and took a chance on riding before breakfast to orient ourselves.

Just a bit out of town and a bit different to the silos we have seen before. Worth a visit for sure but not a lot of room in the run off to them.

We did the Public Silo Trail in March, this is the fifth Silo Art we’ve seen. After 200 litres of paint, 14 days, 168 hours, 80 rollers and 10 brushes, the WA home grown street artist Kyle Hughes-Odgers used four 35 meter high silos as his canvas, created an amazing artwork for everyone to see and put WA Wheatbelt town of Merredin on the Australian art map. It’s definitely worth the journey for us. We strongly encourage people heading this way come to see this monumental art work, you won’t regret it.

Congratulations to the artist Kyle Hughes-Odgers, Form, and the people of Merredin. This artwork is fabulous and well worth stopping for a good look... don’t bypass Merredin. It’s a lovely WA country town.

We came via Merredin especially to see the silo art which is part of a trail that starts in Northam. It is very impressive and is easy to just stop in the parking bay and have a great view of it. I hope that more towns decorate their silos.

Colourful information display with a good viewing area of the silos. Room for parking too. A little unusual compared to other silo artwork, but worth a peek.

Don't drive through Merredin without stopping to admire the silo art. It is worth stopping and taking a photo or two.

The Merredin Silo Art can be seen clearly from the Highway and is well worth a stop to take a photo.

Although not to everyones taste I like this abstract Silo Art. I love the thought that went into the colours used and the representations of the seasons and growth of the harvest. Yes it does take a moment to look and interpret what it is all about for yourself but that is half the fun.

In comparison to bare silos the art work is impressive and can be easily seen from Great Eastern Highway . Many tourists have stopped to take photos.
