My husband and I arrived at the official closing of the museum, but we walked around the grounds for free. There are plenty of plaques that explain what you are looking at for each of the buildings. We tried to peer in some of the windows, without much luck. haha I'd like to go back when it was open. Note: It is free just to walk around, without the tour.
One of the buildings is the oldest building in Grand Forks. It is a log building that once served as the Post Office. There are period homes, furnished from each particular time frame. Nicely kept grounds. Fantastic picture taking opportunities. Picnic area and gazebo in front of the buildings.

We enjoyed driving around Grand Forks looking at Christmas decorations and finding these grounds all lit up for people to enjoy. Thank you to the Grand Forks Historical Society for making this place a special place to visit during any time of the year. We really appreciated the “leg lamp” in the window! Nice touch! Haha!!

We visited on the recommendation of local people we met while on vacation. We arrived late in the day so the museum was closed but it was a lovely area to stroll around and view the buildings. And fortunately for us, a free outdoor concert was just getting started in the gazebo and it was a lovely spot to sit and listen to an orchestra in the small park. We’ll be back on another trip.

Spent several hours visiting the museum and historical buildings on site. Knowledgable guide filled us in on local and state history.

You can take a step back in time at the Myra Museum. This is a rather small but impressive museum with historical buildings located on the property. The museum grounds are always well groomed and looked after properly. It's open for visitation 1pm-5pm from May 15th to Sept. 15th. The admission fee for adults is $5, $3 for kids 10-15, and children under 10yrs old can enter for free. The Myra Museum really is a gem in Grand Forks. Take some time and check it out for yourself!

We live on 24th Ave and often walk through the grounds with our dog and daughter to enjoy the scenery. The gazebo is lovely and a great spot for photos. The other buildings are also lovely and worth your time if you want to go for a longer walk you can connect with the bike path along the river.

The Thomas Campbell house, the Myra Museum, and several out-buildings, create a small historical village. Excellent tours are conducted by Historical Society volunteers and staff! We had a wonderful afternoon visit there! Very interesting & enjoyable!

I was there for there local car antique car show. The show was great but all the old houses, stores ,school, and buildings were fantastic. The volunteers were especially knowledgeable and very helpful to answer and questions. It was really interesting to see the way it used to be way back in time in Grand Forks. We visited while passing through Grand Forks and were very impressed. The tour guide shared much information on the history of Grand Forks as well as eastern North Dakota. There is much information on the destructive flood Grand Forks experienced awhile back. Also much on the Scandinavian people who settled the area. A+ for the tour guide, and some nice photo opportunities too. An hour visit would suffice.

It was SUCH a pleasant surprise to discover the Myra Museum! My husband and I spent nearly two hours stepping back in time and exploring the unique buildings on this charming property. As we entered each well-cared-for building, we were awed by the fantastic collection of period pieces it contained! We even had the luxury of our own highly knowledgable tour guide who offered an impressive overview of each location's history (spanning the early settlement of the Midwest through the 1950s), told stories about her vast experiences, and happily answered every question we threw her way! You won't regret carving out time to visit this gem of a tourist attraction!!
