There was a lady there (unfortunately I can't remember her name) who guided us through a part of Nova Scotia history in an amazing and clear way. This place is full of history and interesting things to see.

I am glad I looked this lady up because I would never have known anything about her. This exhibit on Anna Swan was very informative. Sad story but it was history. You could try on a dress of hers and pants of her husbands to compare sizes. There are books in the gift shop to purchase for a more detailed account of her life. For just $5.00 for seniors you were able to see 4 different exhibits. Well worth an hour and a half visit.

Museum was not really open but we went inside anyway. A lady getting the facility ready for the season said she would take us upstairs for a quick look around. Once upstairs we met the gentleman that obviously is in charge and he took us on a complete tour along with the history. It turned out to be a wonderful personal tour for my wife and I. What a treat.

there is something special about small town museums. Maybe it's the quirky items, maybe it's that the staff and volunteers take their time talking to you, maybe it's the young person that gave us a tour, maybe it's all of those things but this was a very pleasant time to learn about something very interesting and totally unknown to us. Worth the effort to see.

We were able to see the museum out of season and it was very informative. Kind of fun to put the clothing next to regular sized folk. Would enjoy people to learn the history of this lady as I had no idea

Had learned about Anna in my elementary years but never been to the museum. Was very well done with lots of materials to reference putting her grandeur in perspective.

The museum was getting ready to close but the lady working there was very gracious and allowed us to take a quick look around. It was fun meeting "Bob", the boiler guy and seeing the old creamery equipment. We went upstairs and saw the exhibit on the amazing giantess, Anna Swan. The museum guide gave us an interesting talk about Anna and her husband, Martin. I even got to try on Anna's dress. We appreciated the time we did get to spend there and next time will allow more time to see all the exhibits.

We were informed on the free land train tour about this museum. Went to take a look and found it fascinating!!Worth a stop off and the lad in the museum was very knowledgeable pointing things out we may have easily missed during our visit .Learn about the giant and giantess story and the connection to Queen Victoria.

The museum has a variety of things to do and look at. We had a 5&7 year old with us. There was activities to keep them interested and they enjoyed the visit.
The Anna Swan section was quite interesting for even the young kids.
Definitely a must to visit while in the area.
It's right next to the market which is open with full activity and crowds on a Saturday.
Parking is available but gets quite full on Saturday.

Such a sweet museum. Interesting fossil section. Neat to see how the butter was made. Upstairs the Anna Swan exhibit is great. Our boys did a little scavenger hunt and then made rope. Lovely staff and experience.
