Washrooms are absolutely disgusting, it doesn't help that people we doing their dishes in the sink and bathing their small children in the sinks. Staff were always friendly.

We are attending a concert at Westben and needed a place to stay. We decided to stay a few nights at Ferris Provincial Park.
Glad we did. Very private campsites for the most part. Thick lush vegetation.
Many great walking paths. Great view of the Trent.
Thousands of fireflies!!!
Very peaceful.
The staff is great.
Probably not a place I would camp if swimming was a priority however they do have kayak rentals.

If you park at the Ranney Gorge Suspension Bridge, where the parking is free, you can cross the bridge, turn to the left and hike along a fence on something that is not quite a trail and oftentimes has muddy patches, to Ranney Falls, where there is a nice lookout point.
I am writing this review for Ferris Park because there is none for Ranney Falls, which is really worth seeing. I have attached pictures.

Lovely park with nice large sites for big rigs! We are in #66 with a 30ft 5th wheel with lots of room. Only downside is you need to figure out which side your site is on to get some afternoon shade! We lucked out with this site! Roads are a bit dusty when vehicles drive by! Lots of local stuff to check out! Cheese and Chocolate top of the list!!

My daughter's camped at Ferris Provincial Park for the weekend. I took our dog to visit them on Saturday June 11, was charged to enter. We didn't leave the campsite. Within 15 minutes our dog was covered in ticks. He never left the campsite!! We left immediately. I didn't bother stopping to ask for my money back. I will never go there again. It's tick infested.

I camped her years ago but not recently. You can pay to get in the park through the front gate but if you want to walk around for free you can enter via the Rainy Gorge Bridge. Park your car and walk. It is a very nice walk through the park. Don't for get to do a tick check after as the ticks can be bad sometimes. Always fun to do on your significant other!!!

Nice site and it is true full sun no shade as others have said. Good sunsets and fireflies at night.
Comfort stations awful single shower for each gender for a whole campground. Worn concrete black mould unclean. A grotty shower curtain, no heat control, sensor barely works, cold water no heat control. When someone flushes temperature changes yuck

This is a beautiful park, however, all of the power sites are in full sun with very little shade. The shower/washrooms were functional but in need of serious upgrades. The shower curtain is nasty in the ladies washroom. There is no swimming available in the park. You can rent canoe/kayaks. We left after 2 days of our 5 day trip as there was no escaping from the extreme heat or sun. We found fishing in Hastings at the lock bridge was the best area. In the park the fish were sunfish and baby fish. Nothing really enjoyable to catch. If you are into tent camping, then this is your place. The non electric sites had the best layouts and full coverage from the sun.

Ferris Provincial Park is a wonderful day trip Provincial Park just at the outskirts of Campbellford Ontario. We walked some of the trails to get wonderful views of the falls and the river. We also went biking a a couple of the trails. The park was quiet because it was only open to day use at the time and not camping.

We stayed at Ferris Provincial Park for 4 days. The comfort stations are in terrible need of updating but were kept clean. there was only one shower working in the park and it was in the women's washroom and the shower curtain was full of mold. there was no place for a man to shower (I didn't shower either as I'm not too fond of mold.

Is the park open for day hiking and do you need to make a reservation in advance for Saturday Oct 16th?

Est-ce que toutes vos toilettes sont aussi sales et pleine de m... et insalubres que celles que j’ai essayé d’utiliser dans votre parc à côté du stationnement, juste avant le pont suspendu?
Je suis allé dans les bois. J’ai eu envi de vomir en ouvrant la porte des toilettes.
Vous pouvez capter l’eau pas très loin. C’est inacceptable.

Je suis allé dans celles des hommes et j’ai reculé immédiatement, tellement ça sentait mauvais. J’ai voulu vomir.
Ma femme m’a dit que celles des femmes étaient pires que celles des hommes. Elle est allée dans les toilettes des hommes.
Elle a disposé de beaucoup de papiers sur le trou avant de faire pipi dedans. Elle est ressortie et a vomi dans les bois.
Pour ma part, je suis allé faire mes besoins dans les bois.
Comment osez vous avoir des toilettes aussi pleines de caca partout.
C’est contraire aux règles l’hygiène les plus élémentaires.
Votre système m’interdit d’utiliser des mots crus. Dommage car ce que ce que j’écrivais était plus représentatif et descriptif.
Votre système me dit que j’utilise des mots blasphématoires. C’est absolument faux. Je ne blasphème pas. Blasphémer c’est contre l’église.

Can we just come in and pay to use your waste dump facility? If so how much do you charge for sewer drop?

I'm not connected with the park but as a fellow RVer I know that Ontario Provincial Parks normally charge for a day use pass to use all park facilities. Usually about $10 per vehicle. May as well take in the suspension bridge while you're there. You can also check with your local sewage plant. Most if not all are free.
We also refer to a Web site called RV Dump Sites (Ontario).
