Road the Santa train and it was so enjoyable too bad it no longer is in service. Hope someone takes it over and does as good a job of running it.
Our visit was actually Dec 2017 but don’t have that option in the dates.

The train is no longer in service but the new company that has taken or the rail lines are I think in talks about bringing the explorer train back but don't qoute me on that just yet

This is a little piece of modern history. We took ot once at christmas and included a dinner. Long wait liat to get on this a few years ago. They have special events that you can ride. Check out the website and olan a visit

It is very unfortunate, but the Credit Valley Explorer has ceased operations. All railcars have been moved off site and the office is closed.
The station is only operated as a shelter for GO Bus riders.

We also tried in March no answer online or at the phone number listed. We even went to the station and nothing.

The train no longer runs apparently.
I managed to go on it a few months ago and didn't really enjoy it that much. I guess if your a big train person it would be exciting but I was hoping for a colourful tour as many people said and saw alot of golf courses

The Credit Valley Explorer Train ride was really nice, we were fortunate enough to have a beautiful sunny day to enjoy the ride.
The hot lunch was excellent and the servers were very friendly.
I would definitely do it again in a heartbeat.

Best Valentines treat from year to year. Lovely warm and cozy atmosphere, lovely lunch and lovely scenery while relaxing for 3 hours on a cold winter day, this time with our neighbours.,.

I never write reviews but wanted to after the bad experience with the Credit Valley Explorer. I paid for 2 tickets 8 months in advanced for a train ride. After seeing the trip removed from the website I called to make sure the trip was not cancelled. Customer Service is basically impossible to get through. When I did they told me to email. After emailing my concerns they re-assured me the trip was not cancelled and that the removal of a trip was standard procedure. 2 weeks before the trip I discovered the refund of the tickets on my credit card. When I called to find out what was going on the Customer Service told me they were only the booking agent and again was told to email Credit Valley Explorer which by the was is located in MB. When I emailed as to why the trip was cancelled and why no one let me know they did not even bother responding. Guess I'm not a valued customer.

The ticket prices vary. If you have dinner Dinner - Adult $66.50 / Child (2-12) $66.50 Sightseeing Tour Standard - Adult $52.50 / Child (2-12) $42.50
The food is good, not over the top..satisfying the soup was amazing
