I took a drive for about fifteen (15) minutes on Du Gulfshore Parkway West. North Rustico Beach and MacNeill’s Brook Beach were great sites to explore. I loved the red cliffs and the red sand. There were also a plethora of rocks and shells around the beach. The water was very chilly and rough, and I would caution visitors who come to this area in the winter to be prepared for a very cold and windy weather. I took advantage of the many areas to pull over, to park the car, and to take a hike. The views of these beaches were my favorite highlights of Prince Edward Island National Park.

Lovely area for a scenic drive. Make sure to get out and walk down to the beach and to view the cliffs. Amazing scenery.

E we waren op Price Edward Island en wilden wat van het eiland zien. Even zoeken en toen bleek een van de mogelijkheden. Dus er naar toe gereden en het was leuk maar niet speciaal. Misschien zijn weer verwend door wat er allemaal al gezien hadden. Het was rustig toen we kwamen en toen er vervolgens door bussen met toeristen en stop maakten zijn we gevlucht. Kortom, leuk maar niet bijzonder

Jolie paysage. Les plages aux alentours sont surveillées et propres. Parkings à proximité. Pistes cyclables à perte de vue.

The red soil of Cavendish against the green of the grass and the blue of the ocean is stunning. If you are in PEI it is worth seeing the beautiful cliffs.

If you are in the area and you dont go see the cliffs, I have a question for you. What is wrong wih you!!! This place is beautiful and a must see when in the area. Its places like this that were meant when the phrase eye candy was coined!! Absolutely beautiful!

The view is worth pulling over on the road to see. The colors, vistas and waves are spectacular. Great photos await.

The red cliffs are definitely a site to see!
I feel like it's one of those locations where it's constantly windy but it doesn't take away from the beauty.
Not too far of a walk from the parking lot you'll see a few paths you can venture on to give different view points. There's no fence or anything on the top of the cliffs so watch your little ones

Really lovely spot and easy to get to with accessible walkways. If you go on a windy day be careful.

How to get to Cavendish cliffs? I understand it is in the PEI national park. Do we take the Cavendish beach entrance or another one? Is there a specific trail to reach them? Thanks

Margaret is correct - you can take either entrance. There are a couple of look out points along the way which are worth stopping at quickly to see the view. The Cliffs that you can walk down to the beach are named ‘Orby’
Hi, Is there a place in Cavendish where there is a beach. Can you go in the water in this area.

Cavendish is a beach. Probably only 10 miles long so it isn't easy to miss. One of the best beaches in eastern Canada.
