Good question and one we wish we would have asked. Simply - if they are old enough to get up/down the stairs/slides etc. on their own - I say let 'em go. We took son/DIL/GKids and bought tix for all. I pooped out early - the DIL and GDaughter bailed out even before going in (partially because there is really a lot to do without the water park. Hindsight I consider the paid attraction of the water park a distraction). Anyway unless you feel obligated to be there to actively participate or watch from afar in many cases - save your dough or get one of those beach front cabanas on Chill Island as I recall. Not the uber expensive one. Great place to call base and still be part of the action.

Did not see any parasailing at coco cay but if you are going to a different destination they usually offer on private excursions.

Dang that is a tough question! Most water parks do not allow casts as they can damage the slides. Honestly, I would swim (“scuba”) out to the shipwreck and go to a waterpark some other time. The pool is awesome as well. We did the jet ski tour. If you want a thrill ride, it’s way better than the water slides. 35 mph full throttle except to stop to keep everyone together. A vest for the driver with hand grips is used to keep passengers from falling off.

Get off of the boat early and camp out on one of the beaches to the left. They are all pretty close to the food. I think the third beach (they are barely separated) is the best personally. Cabanas are all in the back of the island.
