Es war eine tolle Tour. Liebevolle Behandlung der Tiere, man spürt den respektvollen Umgang mit den Tieren. Wir durften mit Schlangen, Affen und Papageien interagieren. Atziri hat uns eine sehr informative Tour gegeben.

What a magical little place this is. We had such a wonderful experience here. So many different animals not just monkeys! Although the monkeys were definitely the highlight of our trip. There’s no pressure to buy photos etc which is quite refreshing. We did buy ours though because they were brilliant and really captured our experience. Thank you to Marco for your knowledge. Every member of your team are doing an amazing job for these animals. I purchased a hoodie which I’ll wear back in cold England to remind me such amazing memories ☺️

We had the visit to the animal station on a quad tour booked through our tour guide at the hotel with swimming in a cenote as a program item. Since the quad tour starts and ends at the animal station and you can use the sanitary facilities there and get a sandwich at the end of the tour, we also took part in the tour of the very impressive facility. Our quad tour guide Steffen, an emigrant Leipziger who would easily pass as Olaf Schubert's brother, turned out to be a profound connoisseur of the animals in the station. He knew each animal by first name and its sometimes oppressive story, which met its happy end in the reception station. For us, the tour of this great facility was ultimately the absolute highlight of this trip. Of course, the quad tour and swimming in a private cenote that we had with our group of only 6 people all to ourselves were also great.

Such a wonderful experience getting to see all of the animals being cared for at Akumal! Our guide Marcos was very knowledgeable and made the tour really fun. And there are many animals other than monkeys, including donkeys, macaws, and rabbits!

What a little gem this is! We had a fantastic tour with Marcos where we learned about the various animals who have been rescued from circuses, animal trafficking, and hoarding situations. We even got to have a special experience taking photos with Tommasa the capuchin monkey. Afterwards, we enjoyed snorkeling with the local fish. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend this for any animal-lover.

We visited the sanctuary as a family, with young children. We passed a magic monnt. The Award is substantial, but justified for a performance of this quality in my opinion. Our Guide, Marcos, was attentive and of great professionalism. Thank you, we will be back with pleasure.

The park has a great mission. Rescuing animals,caring for them, and educating people about the plight of wild creatures that people attempt to turn into pets. Our guide Marcos spike excellent english and was very knowlegeable as well as absolutely delightful. We learned alt and had a marvelous time!

This is such an awesome experience if you are a big animal lover like me. The things they do here for the animals is just so beautiful. Our tour guide, Angel, was so knowledgeable, funny and answered everyone's questions. The animals are healthy and thriving. We didn't do the cenote or ATVs but we will be bringing our family back with is and will be definitely doing ALL of it next time!

This particular adventure does not include any ocean swimming. So no, no sea turtles. They have one tortoise that has been rescued, I believe. It is absolutely a great experience to try; you get to interact with rescued monkeys, parrots, and more! The team is phenomenal and very knowledgable, and the Cenote you get to visit is private, quiet and so clean and well maintained! Trust me, it's an excellent experience!

A stroller is fine around the "zoo" but not inside the cages. Please know, when we were there in June, the mosquitos were horrible. If you take a small child, I would advise no exposed skin and as much bug repellant as they will tolerate. Even the repellant they sell at the sanctuary wasn't enough. I would go as far as suggesting mosquito netting over the stroller. We called Oscar to transport our group +52-984-197-2665.
