We went for a half days fishing trip with Fito and Leo of Akumal Dive Adventures and left feeling we had made new friends. These boys put in an honest effort and knew what they were doing. Their fishing equipment worked well. They were fun to be around and as excited about the trip as we were. Leo cleaned our fish and gave it to the adjoining restaurant, which made a great lunch. We will be back!!

El instructor y el capitán son tan buenos que no sabes qué es mejor, si la experiencia de bucear o la de conocerles a ellos. Lo hacen todo fácil y placentero. ¡Muchas gracias, Fito y Leo!

My son and I were dive certified while staying in North Akumal and Del Sol Beach front Condos . I can’t even begin to explain the amazing experience from start to finish with Fito. Definitely the best diving experience I have ever had . Not only was Fito a wealth of knowledge about diving and the health of the reef . He was an all around nice guy to get to know and spend the week with in the ocean. I felt comfortable and confident with him and he was out of this world awesome working with my 14 year old son. This was a top notch experience and We look forward to getting back there in April and diving again. If you’re considering diving or getting certified Fito is your guy you will get one on one personal attention, a dive you won’t forget and a friend for life .

Never dove before my trip to Akumal and Fito and Lupe were able to give me the discovery dive course and get me into the water very quickly. My two friends who were already certified were also with me and the ADA team was able to take us all out at once and it was great. Definitely going to return to these folks. Great prices, great people with great locations. Will probably return to here to get certified in full. Thanks guys!

My husband and I had a great time diving with Lupe and his team both on this trip and in 2017.
Akumal Dive Adventures is on Half Moon Bay and is part of the Del Sol hotel and La Buena Vista restaurant group. So go diving and then you can take a dip in the pool.
As it turned out it was just the two of us and dive master Lupe on each of our dives. Lupe is a great dive master, both keeping us safe and using his years of experience to show us turtles, lobster, lion fish and more
Serge, the boat driver, was a great help to me by lifting my tank to the edge of the boat so I could enter the water.
We are looking forward to diving with them again.

I got my open water referral dives done at this shop which was recommended by a friend who used them before. It was a great experience. Small family type atmosphere which is not how I would describe others. Pieto, Lupe, and Sergio were an awesome team and they were extremely polite and very thorough. Pieto was my instructor for my 4 dives and he was the best! Patient, thorough, and fun. I feel like Ive known these guys forever. Pieto and Lupe have a ton of dive experience and Sergio is an awesome boat captain so you are in great hands! We also tried fishing and even though we didn’t have any luck, Lupe and Sergio worked hard in less than ideal conditions and we still had fun! We would definitely go with Akumal Dive Adventures again!! Thanks guys!!

We were not impressed with the other dive shops in the area and then stumbled along this little gem. The staff was very helpful and friendly the equipment well maintained and our dive master, Lupe, was awesome.

Akumal Dive Adventures is a terrific dive shop. My husband and I have both been diving for years and traveled to many places diving. We brought our niece to Mexico to finish her certification dives for her 17th birthday (she did the online course with padi e-learning and then completion here). Her instructor Fito was great. He was very thorough, patient, and made sure she was confident with each skill learned. They had a nice pool for her to practice skills in before going out on dives. This time of year the ocean can be rough and it was very convenient that we could go to a cenote to do a couple of her training dives. During her training my husband and I dove with Lupe who is also great. The equipment and boat are well maintained and worked great. The location is perfect and we enjoyed the more personal feel of a smaller dive shop.

Dove Turtle Reef and this was my 10 yr old's first dive after certification and the instructors could not have been better. The drift dive was fantastic with great visibility and lots of turtles and lobster. Very accommodating crew and highly recommend.

We dove with Lupe and his crew 3 times. We had 2 ocean dives with Lupe and a cenote dive with Lupe's pal Adrian. Everything was well organized, and personal - 2 of the dives just us and the dive master, the third with one other gent, Roger. We were looking for small group dives and Lupe delivered. The equipment is very new and the dive boat is clean and well run - gracias to Manuel and Moses. Safety is number one - the panga never left the shore when seas were too uncomfortable for folks to reboard the vessel. Lupe provided a safe and exciting adventure . We would return in a minute. Don't be swayed by the huge dive shops - they use the same size pangas, but they can't give you the personal service that Lupe can.

I dove in Cozemel where there was a strong current which made the drift diving difficult and sometimes scarey. Are there strong currents at Akumal?
