My son played in a junior event recently and the experience was brilliant however soured by the catering at the club. At lunchtime a steak pie cost £10 however by the time we’d come in after the round it was miraculously increased to £14. This would’ve been something to brush past however this steak pie wasn’t worth £10 let alone £14, the meat was tough and the gravy watery, such a shame as the day had gone so well until then
Simon and the other members of staff were so welcoming and I highly recommend silloth golf club, just not the food

Great Golf Course which is a credit to the green keeping staff & members. Catering is brilliant as well Dawn our hostess was a great ambassador for the club, which was equally matched with a fabulous breakfast which was first class.

The golf course is in wonderful condition, the new catering staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and prepared us a top quality breakfast.

Stunning course in brilliant condition. The 4 of us were on the last leg of our 3 day golf trip and what a way to finish it! From the minute we arrived, Tom the young lad in the pro shop and a few of the senior members were incredibly welcoming. The course has a great variety of short/long par 3's & 4's with a couple of great par 5's thrown in for good measure. There are a couple of blind holes - the 3rd in particular causing us a few problems off the tee and, as with most great links courses, straying off the fairways can be pretty penal. We were blessed with hot conditions and a light breeze so our buggies were a good investment - I suspect in less benign conditions, it would also be a tough walk. Greens were spectacular and we will definitely be back. We had a pint and food in the Clubhouse afterwards and the staff in there were also superb. thank-you!

a compact challenging beautifully kept real links course with undulating fairways often narrow and hidden greens.which were smooth and quick.More variety than on traditional fairly flat links courses such as Southerness across the Solway Firth.The clubhouse and bar were open for food in or sandwiches to go which suited our plan to play 36 holes in the day with a buggy. The cost very very reasonable will certainly go again.

8 friends spent the day playing 2 rounds at Silloth today. Simon was great in keeping us organised around the Covid guidance and arranging the day. Liam’s food was great and worked well with breakfast and lunch in the car park. Having lost a lot of balls in the morning Simon recommended a different ball for the afternoon. Pleased to say I didn’t lose a ball in the afternoon and beat my handicap.
It’s great to say Silloth is open to visitors and the links is in great condition as usual.
If you haven’t played Silloth you must and if you have go back they are a great team and deserve your support

I have always wanted to play this course after reading outstanding reviews in golf magazines and was not disappointed when I played on Friday 4th March. This is an outstanding must play links course with unbelievable views is very welcoming with a great pro Simon and has wonderful food in a friendly and busy clubhouse. I would urge anyone to make the effort to play there and I am sure you will be as delighted as I was. I was down to play by myself but after chatting to Simon he approached a couple of members wife and husband Sarah and Bruce who kindly allowed me to play with them. How fortunate was I to play with two of the nicest friendly helpful and knowledgable golfers you could ever wish to meet. They are a real credit to the club and both excellent golfers whose play made a mockery of the handicapping system! It was so enjoyable to be in their company for4/5 hours and learn so much about the course and the surrounding area. My wife a non golfer stayed in the clubhouse working and was well looked after by the caterers till Sarah and Bruce joined us for lunch. There is a great choice of food that is excellent value for money and very tasty with great service from the staff. The restaurant was very busy and appears very popular with non golfers visiting for something to eat. Overall I couldn’t have dreamed that my visit to Silleth Golf Course would have gone so well and I have already arranged to go back in a couple of months time. All I can say is believe every good thing you hear and read about Silleth Golf Course/Club and pay a visit!

Just back from a days play followed by a lovely meal in the club house. Really enjoyable friendly atmosphere well worth the trip . Will be back 👍

Firstly, lets say without doubt, a must play, have been many times, in all types of weather, and it trulu is a magnificent place to play golf, testing you in so many respects. A must play for anybody who appreciates links golf at its finest.
Lovely welcome, and introduction from the Pro, explained everything really well, Sausage sandwich was very nice as well.
It unravelled once we finally got off, after following the 2 ball from hell, we got in at exactly 2.30, to find the menu's being removed, and the kitchen being closed.
Funny that, as a large party then went to the dining room at 3pm to eat, when their were 19 in our party, obviously the club is really cash rich.
Being chairman of my local club, i would have blown a fuse at this, it reeks of apathy, and poor customer service. The last thing you remember is the last item you did at a venue, on this ocassion, one rule for one group, one for another (us).
If the club is on a % franchise deal, i would be saying something, as the club is being robbed of £££, by wanting an early finish, during a holiday spell.
And worst of all, nobody mentioned the catering finishing at 2.30pm, sorry not good enough.
