Fabulous Real Ale Freehouse, I had passed this pub many times and at last a chance to call in for a couple of very good pints. The interior decor is olde worlde which gives you a warm fuzzy feeling with all manner of things dotted around that catch your eye and not a television in sight, I loved it.

The King William is a small historic pub on the road between Derby and Belper. The kind of nice, traditional place with occasional live music that most older guys like myself really appreciate. When busy - which it was upon my visit - it can feel a bit cramped; there's only room for maybe 30 people?! Great atmosphere though, cozy decor, popular with the local people and pub crawlers between Derby and Belper (if you're in a group, get a zig-zag ticket from The Sixes buses in Derby so you can hop on and off at the different stops - if you're 5 people, it's only 3 quid a person!). Decent real-ale selection, plus of course the full bar range. Just a good, solid traditional real ale pub. Within walking distance you'll find a few other nice places, too (the Strutt Arms and The Holly Bush).

Traditional, comfortable olde worlde pub with a great selection of ales and ciders and welcoming staff. Challenging (rapid-fire) quiz on Wednesdays and other entertainments most evenings. Downside is only cold snacks provided.

Me and my wife stopped in here as it was a short walk from our hotel. It was a good old fashioned coaching inn/village pub. The greeting to strangers was very comforting ang the service very freindly. The beer was good and the staff knowledgable about what they were serving. so good we went back again.

a good vibe in this traditional pub. Saturday evening music some weeks at 9pm has brought an interesting variety of genres and groups, all very good. Jazz some Sunday afternoons. We've never eaten here so can't comment on food

After visiting the Holly Bush tried a pint in this splendid pub, and glad we did, good service, good atmosphere and all round great first experience, well worth a pint.

Visited here for a drink, seems friendly enough! The pub it’s self is an old pub! A vintage feel about the pub! Which I love it’s a proper pub! They have board games as well which I think it’s a nice touch! All in all I would come back here again as we was made to feel very well by the bar man and the drinks are very cheap to!!

Went for a walk around Milford and found this gem. Lovely, friendly welcome, great range of beer, gin and whiskey. Stayed for a couple of drinks and would've loved to have stayed longer. Worth a visit.

We visited this pub as part of the ‘route of legends’.
The landlord and lady were nice and friendly. They must be in their 70s or older.
There were a few people in but it was pretty quiet and we got a seat by the fire which was nice. I liked the fairy lights above the bar and it was nice and quaint.
They had an ok selection of drinks and we had pints and rhubarb gin which was nice.
I asked for some tap water which was an interesting colour so I left that!
I wouldn’t rush back but it was nice as part of our pub crawl.

We've been here a few times and it's a great traditional old pub with open fires and great beers.
Staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is very pleasant.
