Took our 10month old baby and he loved it. They've got a baby part for 24months and under that is amazing. The coffee and food is really nice and the staff were really friendly will definitely be back.

I took my 2 year old granddaughter for the first time to Chucklebutties. We went to the Toddler session on Tuesday morning.
The place is well equipped and clean. The admission was just £3.50 and this includes a hot drink for carer..squosh and a biscuit for the little one. Very good value.
We had a good time running, climbing and sliding.
There are lots of tables to sit at. The food looked good. The coffee excellent.
Simple rules for health and safety were very sensible. So adults, don't forget your socks!!!!
Just 2 minuses. The toilets, although clean, really need a refurb.
And I didn't like that adults were there without children. I found that odd, and made me wary.
On the whole we loved it and will be back!!!!

Lovely clean play Center and the foods lovely. Only thing I found today is it was really cold inside. The kids were fine as there running around. But as a parent sat watching them it was quiet cool. Will be back again but please put the heating on when it’s a cool day thanks 👍

We visited with my 8 month old grandson a week ago.The place had been open for about an hour and it was very cold,took a while before the place was warm enough.The food is ok but nothing special.

I've avoided going here as friends have said how strict they are on the rules with food. My son has autism and so will literally only eat certain brands of certain foods prepared in a specific way. Most places are understanding with me taking my own food but didnt want to risk it here. My son was at school today so decided to go with my 2 year old and meet a friend. We went to the play centre after a lovely walk in the River Gardens. The welcome was a bit cold and mainly consisted of a run down of the rules. None of your own food and drink, pretty standard and not a problem as we intended to buy food and drink there anyway.
I always carry a small bottle of fruity water in my bag for my daughter, she's toilet training so it's important she stays hydrated and she won't drink plain water and I won't let her have high sugar drinks.
While chatting to my friend over a very expensive cuppa my daughter went into my bag and got her drink out and started to drink it. I barely even registered what she was doing but the guy working there was over in seconds, instructing her to put it away. She did not understand and I had to rip it from her, resting in tears. He did bring some water over for her but she wouldn't drink it and typical of any two year old once you tell them they can't have something they want it more. I decided to try her with a squash but at this point there was a huge queue as a large group of pensioners from a walking group had come in all buying hot drinks. I'm not sure how appropriate this is in a play centre. The only relief was that the guy was busy serving them all and so for the first time we felt like we weren't being watched.
I felt on edge the whole time we were there as my daughter kept wanting the drink from my bag or the snacks that she knows are in there and couldn't understand why she couldn't have them. We purchased crisps, teas,kids drinks, 4 meals and oat bars at hugely inflated prices (£1.75 for a carton of juice.) In a play centre with them running around they get really hot and want a lot of drink, if they won't drink water it makes the experience extremely costly.
I wonder if for the few pence they'd lose letting a two year old have their own drink (after already having bought food and drink) then it's worth losing the repeat custom? Yes I understand you can't take your own stuff and set up and have a picnic but the way you are watched I find quite disconcerting and I didn't relax the whole time we were there.
I must also add that the place was freezing. I had to keep my coat on the whole time I was there. I've never been make to feel so uncomfortable. You come to soft play to relax while the children play. I think in future we'll go to the River Gardens then back into town for food. Such a shame

Took my 10 month old boy to chucklbutties, enjoyed my time there, the management made me feel comfortable, made an effort with my son, made us feel so comfortable. Enjoyed our visit. Will go again.

Arrived at chuckle butties today to be interrogated by the very rude man (must be the Owner or the manager)
Questioning my sons age, staring at my son in a horrible manner when I said he was 1 soon. Very rude and mAde me feel very uncomfortable with all of his questions . If they want people to provide birth certifIcates they should put ANOTHER sign up.
He then proceeded to pop his head over the counter and look at my shoes and asked me if I had brought socks with me. I hadn’t. He then told me I would not be allowed no where on the frames but I could buy socks from him 😂 I don’t think so!!! I understand for hygiene about the socks but it was literally like trying to visit someone in prison trying to get in chuckle butties. RUDE.
We was going to have food today which is expensive but after the performance on arrival i did not want to give the man my money.
As the babies was playing I observed another table who had literally just put their knifes and folks down and along came the manager and his staff member to clear away, armed with a Hoover. They proceeded to clear away and hoover the floor around them whilst they was still sitting there. Then out came the spray and cloth, scrubbing the floor around them. The man was shaking his head in disgust whilst doing this. What does he expect ? Children are going to get food on the floor? And could you maybe wait until people’s food has hit their stomach before making people feel so uncomfortable.
You do not feel at ease here at all. It is freezing. And I will never be returning again and I will be informing my friends and family of my experience.

I apologise for the way you feel. Children's age gets asked so that we can charge correctly.
You was asked if you had socks in which you replied no but was told that we do sell socks as we have a duty of care to all children in our centre as all soft play has the same requirement.
We keep our tables and floor clean as we have little babies crawling on the floor as well as you wouldn't want food stuck to your socks.
As regards to the heating customers came up to us to turn the heating off as it was to hot.
Our food is priced fairly as we cooked it from fresh.

We were staying near by on holiday and came here for an afternoon with a 4 year old and 2 toddlers. I’ve been to a fair few soft play centres in the last few years, and this was the best one! Spacious, light and sunny with windows looking out across the river. Great cakes. Friendly service. Excellent range of interesting stuff for the kids with big slides and football to keep the older one happy. Also a really super area for the new 3s with loads to do, very well thought out, and with a gate to prevent older kids running riot in there. Clean and well maintained. Nice to have a stroll along the river afterwards too. Wish we lived nearer, I’d be here all the time!

This is one of our favourite soft plays - my 2yr old loves it here and it does great food! The owners are so lovely n wonderful. Have been coming here since he was born and has always been welcoming.
