Just got back back from what was planned to be a weekend climbing course with Ben as our instructor. Sadly because of the adverse we were offered the opportunity to postpone the second day for a better day later next spring which was appreciated. However the day we had was a wonderful experience for my children and myself in a lovely location, weather not withstanding. Ben is an excellent instructor and guide who was able to navigate a number of routes for us all based on our relevant abilities which were not only enjoyable but challenging. This is my third experience with this agency and every time has been exemplary. If you are keen to try outdoor climbing I would heartily recommend these guys to place your trust in, thank you again.

We booked the two day course with the intention we wanted to learn how to not just climb but also to be knowledgeable and confident enough to be able to handle equipment, set up climbs and belay each other etc. We had each only climbed a couple of times before so this was a great crash course.
Ben and Tom, our guides, were amazing and did a great job on the first day with an array of climbing and learning. Both were encouraging and patient with us when needed. They had a lot of great knowledge about the local area, climbing and were interesting to chat to.
Our second day was just spent with Ben in a different area and it involved more of the same but expanding our knowledge and climbing skills. We came away feeling accomplished and confident despite knowing we have much to still learn through practice.
We would thoroughly recommend the course and both guides. A great weekend with good company is a stunning location.

Had a fantastic day out with Ben bouldering and climbing. My children were of different abilities but they both really enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend for a family with teenagers.

I recently attended the introductory rock climbing course, our instructor was Ben (and Tom) who was a great teacher and was always willing to answer any questions that I had. He set out 2 great days, the 1st at Burbage Bridge and the 2nd at Stanage Edge.
He found great climbs that suited the whole group and that sometimes pushed us to our limits, whilst in-between the climbs we were taught how to setup top rope & bottom rope anchors. On top of that he taught us how to second a lead climber. I have now found a new sport that I will certainly be doing more of in the future.

I just did the 2-day introductory rock climbing course with our 16 year old and it was awesome! Small group and we all got to do lots of climbing and belaying in beautiful locations. Learnt lots of new skills. Instructor Ben tailors the course perfectly for who is there and where they're at with climbing confidence and skills (and what the weather's like). Really positive group dynamic too. Would highly recommend. We're already keen to come again for another course!

We did the Right Way in a Day Navigation course. Our instructor, Ben, was really great - he was very knowledgeable and covered the content in a way that was accessible and easy to understand for complete beginners. He chose a route that we hadn't done before and adjusted it to our level of fitness and experience. As an introvert, I was worried that it was going to be full-on talking and walking for 6 hours, but it was the perfect mix of talking, learning and practising what we learnt. Overall, it was a beautiful and fun walk, and we learnt valuable skills that I have already been able to try out on my own. Thank you, Peak Mountaineering!

From the start I was made so welcome. The course was easy to follow. The quality, professionalism and shown experience was second to none. Thank you Paul and Cal for all your support and help. I went for a one-day rock climbing taster day; would highly recommend it to beginners to climbing, or anyone trying to get out for the first time!
Ben was brilliant, really knowledgable on good climbs at the crag we went to, and we managed to pack in plenty of routes across the day.

My partner and I booked the Bronze Navigation course as we’ve done a lot of ‘tame’ walking but were keen to build strong foundation skills in order to take it further. During the course we learnt some really useful techniques and importantly, got to practice them too. Ben, our instructor quickly assessed our initial skill/experience level and tailored the course so that we didn’t ever feel like it was too easy or too challenging. Over the two days Ben developed our knowledge and skills so that by the end we were confidently and competently navigating in terrain and weather that we would certainly not have attempted before. What I liked most about Ben’s expert instruction was that as well as teaching us important, useful things he also really listened, and without being judgmental and always good company. We will be back the Silver.

Had a wonderful time rock climbing for the first time, and mountain biking through the beautiful landscape
