Great Sunday Market
A nice Sunday market to finish off our weekend to Daylesford. Great fresh produce, candles, bags, jewellery, fresh flowers.

Really great market
While holidaying at Creswick we travelled the short distance to Daylesford to check out the market, it was very good, one of the best attended and largest markets we have been to in a long time .
Well laid out in the railway station grounds it was very well organised.
Some good food stalls there, we had a nice lunch from one selling Potatoe Rotti.
Plenty of clothes stalls, lots of different food and plant vendors and every sort of nicknacks , tools, bags, antiques, craft the list goes on .
Well worth attending when your in the area.

Daylesford Sunday Market
Located in the picturesque, rural Victoria, in the Hepburn Springs and wineries area, close to past gold fields that made our state rich and famous - Daylesford Sunday Market is one of the finest around.

It spans over 2 levels. Upstairs - the old railway station with a still operating train, there are the stalls with fresh, locally grown greenery and food. (NB Try Chris and Bonnie coffee and pancakes, quite uplifting on chilly mornings). In the paddock there are stalls with typical bric a brac and plants across the whole botany; dragon trees, cacti and succulents, some with strange smells attracting a multitude of people.

No two Daylesford markets are the same, each has its own dynamic depending on weather, stall holders and visitors; a fluid mix of locals, Melbournians and international visitors (in a pre-COVID era). Yet, every morning there is a shared sense of pumping adrenaline when the stallholders unpack.

After the market there are like in an a, b, c order: art galleries, boutiques, cafe’s and other countless numbers of indoor/outdoor venues to enjoy in DAYLESFORD. And if you have anything you’d like to sell, you can always contact the Sunday Market Manager, Mr Raoul. He is an extremely helpful bloke, always ready to help you organise a stall. So, see you there!

much variety
With Covid, the numbers are much down and the tourist railway does not re-open until Christmas. People are well spaced and wearing masks and so I felt comfortable buying gifts for Christmas. Jams, fruit, vegetables, hardware, crafts, antiques figure large here.

Cute & Local
2020年12月 • 夫妻情侣
Was looking forward to this local market. We found parking quite easy, and it was easy to find. Very cute stalls with antiques and beautiful plants to buy.

Keep in mind that most of them only take cash payments, we forgot about this but luckily we worked something out.

Sunday market scarcer in strange days

Gold coin entry replaced by free hand sanitiser in these odd virus times.
Half as many stalls from last visit in 2019 (due probably to restrictions).
Still enough to fill a basket with excellent local produce (fruit, veg, cheese, eggs, honey).
Beautiful autumnal setting.

Daylesford market has lots of stalls and i consider it is better than Camberwell Market. Many of the stalls are under huge elm trees and if you can’t find something to eat in the market there are cafes close by.There are great plants, i have also got some lovely daffodils and dahlias there.
Someone sells old grape dipping baskets which make trendy planters at a reasonable price.I got a great handmade metal fountain at one of the junk stalls. There is trash n treasure and that’s the fun part of a market; finding a bargain. There are tools, books, antiques, collectables, etcThe toasted bacon and egg sandwiches, scones , Dutch pancaked and coffee are all good.

Good country market
2020年1月 • 家庭
We enjoyed a stroll around the Daylesford Sunday Market and left with a few goodies. There are lots of produce stalls; an abundance of bric-a-brac stalls; plenty of food vendors and lots of plant for sale. Perhaps some more handmade varieties might complement the produce and second hand offerings but still worthy of a stop off to browse.

Enjoyed a bratwurst in a roll which was quote nice, albeit expensive at $15. Bought a delicious sour dough loaf and some non-alcoholic Apple cider (at a more reasonable price). Highlight of the market is definately the train rides. A refurbished heritage old train takes you to Balarto and back. Great fun and worth the $20. Highly recommend!

Hot Day
2019年12月 • 夫妻情侣
Even though it was a hot day in Daylesford, our visit to the sunday market was still enjoyable. There is a wide range of things to look at, from the standard bric a brac to food, honey, wine and clothing. If you're in Daylesford on a Sunday then it's well worth having a look.
