Nice picnic area at the dam

Spent an hour at the dam. The park has BBQs with electric plates and undercover tables. Take some insecticide for the mozzies. It is a pretty place and good for Biloela residents and visitors.

Another dam lookout

Kroombit Dam is look only don't touch. Ok if you want to stop to stretch your legs before heading on up the razor back track to Kroombit Tops.

Kroombit Dam on the road to Kroombit Park

On the way to Kroombit Park is the Dam that supplies water to the region. In itself it is a pretty boring dam but is a significant water source for local wildlife. You will see all sorts of birds and animals around the water courses and its worth a look for that reason alone.

The Kroombit Dam is a roller compacted concrete dam, built to replenish the groundwater supply to the Callide Irrigation area. The dam has a maximum height of 25m and used 275,000m³ of zoned earthfill and 100,000m³ of RCC and conventional concrete. Wikipedia
