There is no charge to enter. Drive at your leisure, stop where you want to. Don't pull off the road into the grass. Just park in the road security told me they prefer that. Stop by the office and they will give you a map of the cemetery with 10 points of interest and answer any questions. Restrooms are near the maintenance facility in section 18. Don't pass up the Wade Memorial Chapel.

Good idea to make a reservation in advance.

They have an administrative building who will help you locate and provide a map

There are a bunch of bathrooms. Easiest to find is in the Garfield Monument. Ignore the guy with the negative answer as he has no idea what he is talking about.

There is an Entrance on Mayfield Road just before Coventry Road.Little Italy is just down Mayfield Road about 3 Minitues away. There is another Entrance near Kenilworth Rd ,a left at the Entrance will take you to the Garfield Monument, Less then 2 Minutes to that Entrance.

Wade and Garfield memorial are open daylight hours. Stop at the office at 123rd and Euclid gate for map, guidance and full info. All is free. Picnic tables are scattered throughout the cemetery. Nice locations are near the Garfield memorial and near the lake at Wade Chapel. Call ahead for a free golf cart tour for up to 3 people.

Dear Jeff, Thanks for reaching out! Yes, we do have maps available, which highlight not only the names you mentioned, but other popular sites within the cemetery. You are welcome to stop at Lake View Cemetery's offices, located within the Euclid Avenue Gate, from 8:30-5:00 Monday-Friday, or 8:30-2:00 on Saturdays. In addition, the Wade Memorial Chapel and President James A. Garfield Memorial are open from 9:00-4:00 every day from April 1- November 15. Lake View Cemetery is very easy to explore without joining a formal tour, and our staff will answer any questions that you may have. We do hope that you'll visit and enjoy the experience!

The Chapel and Monument may be closed, but the cemetery itself is open. I go in the Mayfield Road gate, then wind around and down through the beautiful monuments. In the few bookstores in town, you can usually find a copy of the small brown book about the cemetery, which has photographs and information about it. ALSO, just published, a GREAT coffee table/gift book - big, expensive, and absolutely BEAUTIFUL: "The Lake View Cemetery - Photographs from Cleveland's HIstoric Landmark," with photographs by Barney Taxel. He spent over 10 years taking color and b/w photos on the grounds, and the results are breathtaking! Buy one or give one. It's a keeper! Famous people buried there? Elliott Ness - YES! the famous detective/policeman. Walter Johnson - the only professional baseball player ever killed by a pitched ball. President Garfield, of course. One of the Rockefellers. The list goes on and on and on. The cemetery is particularly beautiful in spring, as it is one of the few true garden cemeteries in the country. Flowering trees and shrubs and thousands upon thousands of daffodils make it a spectacular drive or walk-around. I do hope you will come back then! JWH

Lakeview is open all year round but Garfield Memorial and the Wade Chapel are only open from April thru November. I'm sure the administrative offices are open all year where you can get a walking/driving guide where some of the well known people are buried and a brief story. I would suggest Googling Lakeview Cemetery (it won't let me put the website address here) and check for contact information under the Points of Interest tab.
