This home is a true reflection of American History. Barbara is the enthusiastic tour guide that brings history to life. This entrepreneurial family was integral in history and the shaping of Columbus. This was my favorite thing to do when visiting the city for the first time. It was such a nice surprise.

Yes many homes that are old are considered historic but this home has such a diverse history because of the many generations that lived there. From the connections to Abraham Lincoln to the current White House, you will be amazed at the stories of this family. The furniture inside are amazing pieces that have just as interesting stories as the house. We had a great tour guide. I highly suggest touring this house.

Check the website for hours and visit this historic house to see the beautifully preserved interior and hear the informative and interesting history/stories shared by the docents. At Aug’24, the house was under the stewardship of the Junior League who have done a great job preserving the house. As it is a real life house, smaller groups are better, hence, check the website and notify if bringing a big group. Fellow visitors on my tour arrived sooner than expected and advised they’d enjoyed a walk/tour of the nearby Topiary Garden/Park which is also recommended as it’s within walking distance and a great place for some photos.

We spent the weekend in Columbus with nothing to do on Sunday. I came across this house as a suggestion as I was doing some research in the morning. I will say that my family loves to visit these historic houses wherever we are and learn a little bit about the houses history. This house is beautifully preserved in the period and I highly recommend. I will say that I could have used more general history on Columbus and the time period and less on this particular family, but definitely an enjoyable step back to the Victorian eras

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Kelton house. Kathe was our tour guide and she was amazing! You can tell she’s truly passionate about the house and its history. There are so many different characters that each have their own story and Kathe knows them all. She even took the time to show us some specific details that we had special interests in (e.g., Danny’s headstone). The house is a must see and such a neat part of Columbus history!

This is a must see when you are in Columbus. Our guide Kathy was great. It's a beautiful house and is furnished with original items. A wonderful piece of history.

If you are in Columbus, Ohio don't miss this wonderful historic museum.
Kathe our guide was amazing and shared with us all kinds of history about the house and the people who lived there. Highly recommend this tour.

We really enjoyed our time here. Kathy was our tour guide and she did a wonderful job! She is super friendly and knew so much information. We highly recommend it!

We were lucky enough to visit the house before the Christmas decorations and exhibits were put away. What an enriching experience! Our excellent tour guide Kathy provided our non-local resident group a good deal of "context" to give us an appreciation for this family and their place in Columbus/Ohio/Underground Railroad history. Because the family were the exclusive residents in the house (and liked to keep hold of their possessions), the house is almost exclusively furnished with items belonging to them. I highly recommend putting this historic home on your "Must Visit" list for 2024!

Really beautiful, restored Victorian home and such an interesting historic place to visit. Very informative tour by Jeff. Highly recommend if in the are.

We needed to find parking on the street. As for their hours, sorry we can't help. We were there on a Wednesday and don't know their operating hours otherwise.
