Incredible Victorian home and carriage museum! The place is simply magnificent, and a must stop if in the area. Take the docent tour - you'll be happy you did. Not really fully handicap accessible, and you'll need about two hours. Go and enjoy this amazing bit of history!

Beautiful victorian home of the Reeves Family. Original carpets and curtains and furniture...such a beautiful home. The restoration done was amazing. Cool little trinkets and beautiful furniture. They were decorated for Christmas so an added bonus. Docents were extremely knowledgeable. Not handicap accessible. You will need to climb 3 set of stairs. Not little children friendly.

Did the last tour of the afternoon and it was well worth it. We had a group of only 4 people on our tour, so lots of chances to see everything and ask questions. The home itself is gorgeous, with fine details all over. Learning about how Mr. Reeves turned a farmhouse into this Victorian home and the restoration process, was enlightening.

There were so many cool items ... vintage automobile, horse drawn sleigh and traffic light to name a few, preserved from the past in the carriage house. It was a treat to have Roxie as our guide through the mansion. She was patient with my 89 yr. old Dad who has Alzheimers. The mansion was beautiful and the history was interesting,to say the least.

Nice to visit this well maintained home and grounds. Private tour is included with the admission, and the tour guide really knew her stuff. I was unaware of the significance the Reeves family imparted to the local community, but this visit changed all that. Really, if you're in the area, you've got to go see this.

We went on an evening when the home was decorated for Christmas. It was just our family on tour. The home is beautiful. The decorations were authentic to the period. In addition to the Christmas decorations, we also learned about what every day life was like. Our guide answered questions as well. We are from the area and it was nice to finally visit a local part of history.

We got a private tour along with another couple and it was well worth it! The house is absolutely beautiful and our guide was very thorough and friendly! You really got a feel for what daily life was like in this home and got to learn so much history about the family! There are no photos allowed inside, but don’t let that stop you from visiting. You won’t be disappointed!

My husband and I really enjoyed the tour of the Reeves family home. The house furnishings are 90% original, they are absolutely beautiful. Our tour guide was so nice and really knew the history of the home and family she brought back life into the home. The Carriage house is really nice also. Only down fall is there is very limited parking if you are towing a camper. We lucked out, there is one parking spot for a tour bus and there wasn't any large buses scheduled for the time we were there. So got to park in that spot. other than that it was well worth the stop. The cost was $9.00 for each of us. We really enjoy the visit!

This museum gives the history of Dover from its founding as Canal Dover to the steel mill that J.E. Reeves founded. It's worth a look when you're in the area.

My husband and I received a personal tour for two and thoroughly enjoyed it. A beautiful old home with original furnishings. Our docent was excited to share what she knows of the place and its history. Well worth a visit if you are in Dover.

I don't remember but , they do have a website and I should answer all of your questions. We went around Christmas and it was especially beautiful with the decorations. It is very interesting, had a nice tour.
