some of the models e.g. computerized body index machine should be made functioning well, spellings in some of the illustrations may be improved

Regional Science Centre, Guwahati is an activity driven non formal science education destination. The indoor and outdoor experiments, fun mirrors, science games are a brilliant way to inculcate knowledge and are a fun learning experience. Definitely worth a visit.

I think my 3 year old son and I have been here more times than many locals of Guwahati! We love this place. It's neat, well maintained and has good staff! My son loves the aquarium, and the outdoor exhibits. I love the shows - science on a sphere and the fun science exhibits. It's lovely in the Assam winters especially. I just visited the National Science Centre in Delhi today and was so disappointed with it in comparison to the one in Assam! Keep up the good work and please do maintain this jewel in Guwahati.

Perhaps comparison with such museums abroad or even National Science Centre of Delhi are not justified, but I see no reason why children in Guwahati should not be exposed to the best. There are some good exhibits and hands on activities, but maintenance is poor. Overall impression is that of shabbiness. It appears that the government put in some money initially but has since reduced the budget. If you have seen any good science centre, don't bother visiting.

They have good infrastructure but very poorly managed. Planetarium is not worth visit. 3D show is the best.

The place is very good occupying a vast land mass. The entrance charges are also ok. But the entire centre is very poorly maintained. The shows are not so good and should be upgraded to cope up with today's technology. Yes students can learn up to some extent but the smartness which students have today they would find the centre boring. So if the centre is upgraded it would definitely attract more people. Else it would just be used as playground for kids.

First things first, it's a big no. I would personally suggest you to avoid pets for any kind of travel in the city. It is because most of the places don't allow pets.
