Dalhousie Local sightings
2021年3月 • 家庭
I visited panjpulla in Dalhousie during our trip to Himachal Pradesh. At the time of March there is no big size waterfall but it’s worth to visit as natural place and also enjoyed delicious fast food in front of water. Must visit it.

Don’t go
Initially I thought to give it a miss reading the reviews, but as I had time and cab with me so decided to go there. There I thought that I did not do any mistake to give it a miss. Nothing is there except a small waterfall, but you may have seen many big waterfalls. You have to climb by the sides of the waterfall and after some distance a café is there which also you don’t like to go into. But yes, you have to pay for parking here.

We have visited this place with our family, but really vary much disappointed to see that this place is no more a tourist attraction, but a point of filling water tankers, Very narrow roads and always busy with tankers filling water from asmall water fall, which was an tourist attraction. Nearby a monument of Sardar Ajitsingh. Which is also very much crowded.

Can be avoided
You might like the place if you have kids. There are some activities for the kids. Waterfall is very small and these sorts of falls can be found on any hill station while travelling. According to me, one should not waste time going to this place.

Some adventure activities and a smallish waterfall
Located about 2 kms from Gandhi Chowk, Panjpulla is an okay destination to spend some time. Basically, it's a place with a small waterfall right at the top, with water trickling down in small, little streams jutting out of big rocks strewn around. There are some adventure activities like Burma Bridge and Zipping. And, of course, food stalls selling Maggi, Popcorns, Tea and such stuff. There is Bounce House and a trampoline for kids as well. In addition, there are some shops selling local Himanchali stuff.

You can spend some time sitting on the rocks with water flowing around you and click some poses beneath the small waterfall. However, you need to climb quite a few steep stairs to reach the waterfall. It's not very difficult but not so easy either.

The place isn't well maintained and you can find plastic waste and wrappers lying around.

Alll in all, a good place to spend an hour or so.

Natural beauty dense forest and waterfall
2019年10月 • 夫妻情侣
We spent about an hour enjoying the beauty of the place along with waterfall. A cup of coffee at Shiva Cafe was divine. There are few shops but mostly owned by Kashmiris who are not interested in welcoming customers (wonder why have they opened shops).

Small waterfall
2019年10月 • 夫妻情侣
The place is about 2.5 km from Gandhi Chowk. Since it had rained, it was a tough climb up.rocky steps to
view the waterfall. There are trampolines for kids to enjoy on a dry day. Quite scenic.
Lots.of shops selling
Kashmiri and Himachal handling and artifacts. Plenty of eating places. The sore sight was the littering of biscuit packet.wrappers, plastic bottles lying all over the place.
