Unexpectedly Magical
We were in Kanchi and bumped into an old man who told us about the place which is not far away from Kanchi.
Upon arrival we were not sure what to expect. A magical art school out of no where took our breath away.
Please call them prior to your visit.

A very late but absolute privilege to be the first person to review this performing arts sangam (Tamil for association).
I had come to know about this place and had organised an official trip where me and our team of six (including 3 people from Poland) visited this place set in a little village just off Kanchipuram, the place was well marked and brimmed with energy.
Dr. Hanne De Bruin, Executive Director - Kattaikkuttu Sangam personally received us and walked us through on what this place is all about. This place aims at empowering the underprivileged kids by teaching them arts, English language and a whole lot of programs, such a noble cause. She also arranged a special play just for us performed by kids, that was very heartening to watch. Though the play was performed in Tamil language, our Polish counterparts thoroughly enjoyed the kid's artistic talents groomed by Kattaikuttu. Dr. Hanne was kind enough to provide us with tea and little bites while we were watching the play.
This is for a great social cause and I would really urge everyone from any corner of the world to support such great places. A google search of kattaikkuttu should help in identifying this place.
They do have a donate online link that one can use if interested in supporting this endeavour.
If you happen to visit Kanchipuram, I'd recommend fixing up a time (contact details in website) and visiting this place. Definitely recommended for groups - good time to be spent and watching the kids enact. It's fun!!
