I'm so happy that I decided to book an experience with Happisburgh Owls. It was a surprise for my fiancé's birthday and we had a fantastic time. Darwin told us all about the owls and guided us through holding eight of them who each had different personalities and were as exicted to see us as we were them. We were even given a handful of beautiful owl feathers to remember the day.
I cannot recommend this experience enough, if you're reading this review then please contact them to book.

We booked to visit this amazing place and we're so pleased that we did. Darwin welcomed us all and that started our fabulous time with the owls. Sandy was able to allow our dog to stay with her partner,Alec, so the whole family, 3 adults, two adolescents, could enjoy the experience. We thoroughly enjoyed learning about each owl and handling them; we learnt so much. Darwin is highly qualified, and explained their back stories and their idiosyncrasies, and Sandy told us about her determination to provide good housing and care for them all. Delicious refreshments and plentiful hot drinks were provided. We loved our time there.

We visited Happisburgh Owls and WOW! What an experience! Taking our young children, I was apprehensive that they might be too young or get bored, but no. When we booked, Sandra said it would be great for them and it was. We received a warm and friendly welcome. The team engaged with the children from the get go and throughout, tailoring the information to keep the kids engaged and interested. We had a fantastic time. Sandra and Darwin were fantastic, so knowledgeable and care deeply about the owls. It was great to hear about how it all started at Happisburgh owls, to meet all the owls and handle 8 of them. Everything went at a leisurely pace, with the owl’s wellbeing as the top priority. There was even tea and a selection of delicious cakes to boot! Thanks for an unforgettable day!

This is a unique and very special place . Sandra and Darwin are the most welcoming of hosts , who could not have provided a more brilliant way to get " up close and personal " with their fabulous collection of owls , and to learn about each one's characters . There were four of us in the room ( indoors as the weather wasn't brilliant ) , and we each got to hold five owls . There is plenty of coffee , tea and cake on offer which was very welcome as the experience lasts for around three hours . Afterwards we got to look at all of the other owls in Sandra's outdoor aviaries , they are extremely well looked-after , well fed with plenty of clean , fresh water available , along with lots of places to perch and hide away .
Definitely five stars , and well worth a visit !!

This was a truly amazing experience. The origins of Happisburgh Owls lies many years ago when Sandra managed, against the odds, to keep a baby owl alive. Visitors are shown a film of how a wide variety of other owls have found a caring home in Happisburgh. Extremely nervous of handling the birds, I was encouraged to do so and soon gained confidence. Lazer even enjoyed having his head rubbed as he calmly sat on my gloved hand. Because Sandra and Darwin explained everything so clearly, we learnt a lot about the life and habits of owls. The three or so hours we spent at the sanctuary flew past, as we handled some owls, greeted others outside, and listened to the information given. We were all so delighted that, during our week in Norfolk, we discovered this absolute jewel, an experience not to be missed. Thank you Sandra, Darwin and Owls for an absolutely splendid time.

A truly unique experience, entering the lounge we met eight owls face to face. The handlers were experienced and knowledgeable, the birds in fantastic condition, and holding them all was amazing. The birds were happy to touch your face and were all exhibitionists. No bird is forced to be viewed by the public and all seemed more than happy to be there. We were shown their aviaries which were spacious and had their own toys. We enjoyed seeing some of the larger owls and observing one being fed. The food we witnessed, for all the birds, was extremely fresh and good quality. My sister-in-law was initially a bit nervous of the birds but the handlers were extremely supportive and helped her gain maximum enjoyment from the experience. I highly recommend this experience.

Absolutely amazing experience getting up close and cuddly with the owls! We were very impressed with Darwins knowledge, attention and care towards the animals. These owls are truly loved and looked after. Would 100% recommend and will be coming back!

I don’t often write reviews but this experience was truly wonderful & absolutely deserves 5-stars (& more).
My parents bought me a gift voucher to visit Happisburgh Owls for an Owl Experience for my birthday and it was honestly the best experience! The owls are absolutely beautiful & so well cared for. Darwin looked after us and he was just outstanding - so friendly and knowledgeable, he really took the time to share his wealth of knowledge with us. We had 3-hours with the owls & it was wonderful to not be at all rushed. We loved holding the owls and learning all about them. We also had a lovely tea while we were there, which was perfect. We will definitely be back, and I will be recommending Happisburgh Owls to everyone. Hats off to Sandra & Darwin for all that you do! Just amazing - love this place.

This was an out of this world experience. Irwin, sorry Darwin was amazing at educating and entertaining us about these amazing owls. A very personal and strangely ‘spiritual’ experience. My wife actually shed tears of emotion. We only met Sandra breifly but feel like true family.

Wow! That really does sum the experience up.
Arrived not really knowing what to expect, but the whole visit was absolutely amazing. The care and dedication shown to these Owls by Sandra and Darwin is exceptional, and the way they discuss/educate this with you is enlightening, entertaining and memorising.
Plenty of time with the Owls on your gauntlet, enough indeed to have an insight into their different characters.
As has been mentioned on another review, sitting in the Garden with a cup of tea in one hand and an Owl in the other can only be described as surreal - and the coffee and walnut cake was very tasty!!
If you are hesitant about booking don't be - it is an amazing way to spend time with these very special owls.

Drive towards the village of Happisburgh along Whimpwell St you will approach a staggered junction turn right into Lighthouse Lane drive to the bottom of the lane and the owl visit is the last bungalow on the left on the corner right in front of the lighthouse

It is private booking only. I think the maximum number is 6. It’s not a cheap day out but it is worth every penny. You’ll need to check directly but I think we paid £170 ish for 4 people.

Although your dogs could be in your vehicle in my drive they could not be around my owls . So in all honesty due to the lenght of your viewing I would say not a good idea.

Sandra @ Happisburgh Owls is obviously the best person to answer this . Due to the close inter action with the owls I would imagine it best to leave your dogs at home for your visit . Enjoy ! 😊
