Thank you for visiting and for your review. The "middle station" is Weybourne and it sounds as if the crew waited a short while so the train ran at the time stated in the timetable rather than early. Obviously, some trains are busier than others but the timetable allows time for passengers to alight and then others to board which can take a few minutes on busy days. The line is five and a half miles long and it would be very difficult and expensive to extend but the Day Rover tickets are valid for unlimited travel all day so you can spend longer aboard, or hop off and travel on later trains if you wish.

Many thanks for visiting and for your review. From your comments, we believe you visited a few months ago when a track fault curtailed services. Our team were able to rectify things and get us back up and running within a few days and we're pleased the arrangements that were implemented at short notice with visiting coaches and local buses worked well to get you back to your starting point. This year, trains run daily during February half-term and most days from April to October (see website for full details) and we hope you are able to visit us again and make a return journey or two.

Sue - many thanks for visiting and for your review - we will pass your feedback to the creative team that put the show together. The comments regarding the soundtrack are broadly, evenly split between being difficult to hear and too loud and it may depend to some extent on the noise from other passengers during the show. Similarly, some customers would prefer a more Christmassy feel and others less. We will analyse the feedback in more detail at the end of the run to see if there is a pattern - the Norfolk Lights Express runs from early November to early January so getting the right balance on the soundtrack is difficult. We will discuss the feasibility of tweaking the soundtrack mid run with our creative and technical partners. Similarly we will look at adult-only trips or carriages for 2023. Many thanks for visiting and for your review. We're glad you had a good time. The choice of music is clearly very subjective and the feedback is overwhelmingly positive along with small number suggesting changes which are broadly evenly spread between too loud/too quiet and too festive /not Christmassy enough. The phrase "Festive Season" isn't because we have suddenly "gone woke" but simply because the lights train season runs from 11 November to 2 January. We will investigate the possibility of having slightly different soundtracks/wording for different times of the run next year but that is easier said than done! The spread of lighting is to some extent dictated by the space on the lineside, the vegetation and the kindness of our neighbouring landowners who generously allow us to set up displays on their property. The displays are slightly biased to the north of the line between Sheringham and Weybourne and to the south between Weybourne and Holt. Wherever possible, they are arranged so they can be viewed from every seats. Again, requests to swap seats for the return journey and more or less evenly split between passengers travelling on the north side and those seated on the south side!

As you say, there is very little we can do regarding the weather or the behaviour of other passengers but we will look at the feasibility of adult-only evenings or possibly adult-only carriages on some trains for the 2023 event. As for the mist on the windows; with steam heating and cold temperatures outside, condensation is inevitable and napkins are provided so passengers can wipe the windows when necessary.
