Would willingly pay the current car park charge of £6,50, but the machine was cash only, or scan your National Trust Membership Card. I had no cash, nor am I a member of the National Trust so I left Sheringham Car Park and spent the day where I could pay by Bank Card. Perhaps it's time the National Trust Car Parks were updated with pay stations which accept bank cards and other payment methods.

A nice park with viewing areas and a lovely natures garden. My daughter enjoyed cycling around here and the landscape.
My only criticism is that the staff were abit standoffish at the entrance. Then super friendly to the two older couples with no children.
We will revisit and appreciate the location!

We stopped here to break our journey. When we arrived it was raining and we did not holp great expectations. However it cleared up and we were able to complete one of the circular walks. This was pleasant with sites along the way. Recommended.

We always visit Sheringham Park when we are camping in North Norfolk as such a lovely place to spend half a day, great walks, good cafe, clean toilets and in summer holidays there are always free activities for kids. This year it was lots of sports activities set up on the picnic field, tennis, badminton, tug of war, football, cricket, rounders...and a separate place for archery run by staff. Lots of fun.

Well maintained paths, clear signposting along the routes. The NT member at the entry was lovely and helpful. We bought a membership from her.
Only down side was the cafe. We were sitting enjoying ice creams and drinks in the outdoor courtyard when a staff member came and shut the gate leading to the toilets. I wanted the toilet so passed through the small cafe to find the toilet. Used the facilities and then returned to pass back through to find the door shut and locked up. It was my first time here so I was a bit panicked at how to find my family. Thankfully another patron directed me around the corner back to the courtyard. It might have been polite to just mention that they were shutting the gates and shop entry and that you can go around. Otherwise a really lovely visit.

Sadly arrived just after the rhododendron had finished so the garden lacked focus. Great area for walking. If you like trees.

Absolutely loved our visit to the beautiful Sheringham Park. The walks had everything - parkland, wild gardens, woodland and coastal views. Easy to follow markers to follow the various walks. Highly recommend. Entrance is free although you have to pay for parking unless you are a National Trust member.

Overall the park is beautiful, very well managed, however, the amount of people visiting today ( Sat 11th May) was manic.
We visited the cafe on site, those poor Ladies were absolutely run off their feet, only 3 staff on? The queue was out the door! We encountered some very rude people in the queue, it wasn’t the staffs fault, it was VERY busy! I would suggest visiting in the week or waiting until a quiet time.

Superbly wooded area with a really good cafe.
Very dog friendly on leads at all times. Though some owners can't read the signs. 😉.
There is ample parking but if in a camper over a max of 6m then you need to park in the coach park.

I’m not sure whether you are referring to getting to Sherringham Park or when you are in Sherringham Park? We got the bus from West Runton to the Park so avoided the long road that runs parallel to the park which isn’t pleasant walking. However, you can also walk from Sherringham to one of the main entrances to the park that is near the big country house, I.e. you turn left past the Sherringham railway station, over the railway bridge, cross the main road, keep walking past the school, turn right and you will walk past some houses and a pretty church. Keep walking and you will come to the entrance to the park. You can then walk through very pretty woodland and park to the cafe, which I think is only open on Saturdays during winter, for the Park Run. Hope this helps:)

The park tries to extend the season of the rhododendrons (!), within the limits of the species, so from late May to late June you should at least see a few. There are other things to visit for, too! Like the steam railway, picnic grounds, wildlife and spectacular views.

Ther is no entrance charge for pedestrians. The only charge is for parking.

They were free, but you had to do a little driving test, drive to an area, turn and come back. That was in May. You might also have to book a scooter in advance. I don't know if you have to do this on the website. You also have to fill out a liability form. They are well worth it as you can see a lot more of the gardens. Hope this helps.
