Went here Saturday 23rd September 2023. Had a fantastic day with my son, daughter in law and 2 grandkids, we did not stop laughing all day. I was extremely pleased to see how tidy and clean everywhere was with plenty of staff doing their rounds to pick up litter, which was minimal as visitors normally used the bins provided. I made use of the ladies toilets, again, amazed how clean they were, in fact cleaner than the Harvester for Sunday roast which we went to after to end such a brilliant day, would highly recommend, but......1 gripe......the food and drinks were way over priced, baring in mind it was a "family" adventure. If the prices of food and drinks were lower, they would make a better profit ? Well done Old MacDonalds Farm !!

Good value for money. Plenty to do with a toddler, not too big so not too much walking as other farms.

We have been to Old MacDonalds farm lots of times before Covid, but this was only the second since it reopened. The first time was disappointing as there was lots of building work taking place (making the train ride longer, erecting new play areas etc). So we wondered what this visit was going to be like.
We actually had a really good time and stayed all day. Even then, we didn't get to do all that we wanted to, so will return.
First of all, some not so good points.
We bought some animal feed for the children (aged 7 & 4). When we got to the ponies, the children put the feed down the chute and the ponies came hurrying over. Then both us and the animals realised that they couldn't eat the food because a gate had been put across the chute from inside the enclosure, so they couldn't reach the end of the tube. The children felt sorry for the ponies and it was a waste of feed.
A few things didn't work. There is a hand pump that sends water to a wheel which turns, this didn't work, and there was a water game that was out of action.
Also, the food is really expensive. We knew this from before, so we took our own picnic and sat in one of the painted animal huts. However, I decided to have a cup of tea. Wow! £3.10 I think it was. The most expensive take away tea that I have ever bought.
The not so good points, didn't stop us from having a really good day. The extended train was good and the driver (sorry, I didn't get his name), was fantastic. So friendly and good with all the children, giving out stickers and offering to take photos. He is a real credit to the farm!
We didn't have to queue for the rides and could go on as many times as you wanted.
The new Spiderman Tower was a hit, with both children wanting to climb to the top. I think there's a bell to ring at the top? But if so, it wasn't working, which was a shame.
Add to that the huge sandpit and digger, swings, slides, soft play for the little ones. All adds up to a really good day!

Very good value for money, with animals, parks/playgrounds and rides for children on different ages! Soft play inside and outside too!
Only recommendation would be for a bigger cafe or another cafe as can imagine it gets very busy in the summer although we went on a very quiet day!

We had my son’s 7th birthday party at OMG.
Kids loved it and they had so much fun. Staff very friendly & helpful.

Really impressed. So clean and well presented compared to others. Would definitely recommend. Me and my two girls had a good time. Love the fact the place and the animal statues and signage are so new looking. Most places like this look so old and battered. Excellently presented. Young staff are a bit moody but any staff over the age of 22 were very polite. The guy who drove the train ride was amazing! Excellent energy and really interacted with the children and family’s.

We came for our sons 2nd birthday and it was amazing! Great seating areas for picnics that were clean and under cover for when it was really sunny. Our son particularly like the tractor ride & the train. I have to say the man that was on train was unreal! He clearly loved his job and got so involved with the children. He deserves a mention for his constant enthusiasm! We did the trail and received a light up wand at the end which our boy loved! Really good present. The only thing we could fault was the stony type ground you have in part of the park as it is not buggy friendly and was quite hard to get over. But overall we all loved our day! We will definitely be coming back :)

We visited old MacDonald’s farm yesterday and was extremely disappointed to say the least , frim the main road the farm looks amazing but the reality is that it’s not great. There’s not many opportunities to pet the animals and although there is a great variety of animals on site due to the enclosure fences you are so far away from the animals it’s difficult to view them. They sell animal feed but you can’t actually feed them , you just pour feed down little shoots that are directed into a trough in the enclosure . It really was disappointing and whilst there are lots of rides ect there the lack of animal encounters spoilt it. We won’t be returning sadly .

We are sorry to hear that your experience fell below what you were expecting at our venue. We are a small family run Business and we strive hard to provide a fun learning experience for everybody with a variety of animals, rides and other fun attractions across our whole site that are all included in the admission price. We do try to be very clear about what we have for our visitors to see and do.
Occasionally our grazing animals have to be moved to a smaller area for care, veterinary observation and to receive medication or treatment, nevertheless, we are sorry to hear of your disappointment. OMD

I visited in the school holidays with my sister-in-law and two nieces (aged five and six) and we had the most amazing day out. There was so much to do and see - petting the animals, play areas and great rides. Both us adults and the children loved it. There was no queuing and they could ride again and again as many times as they wanted as it was all included. The circus show was a particular highlight - the girls were cheering along. The staff were super helpful and friendly and the food was good value too. Or you can bring along your own picnic if preferred - there is lots of seating to eat at. We were there all day and didn't get to see everything, so will definitely be back again soon. Very highly recommended.

The car park is free yes you can take food from home and I took my then 7 year old nephew and he loved it cos there are rides a soft play area and not just the animals

Prices vary, depending on when you go. It is cheaper in the afternoon. Prices for children aged 2-15 start from £8. Best to phone them.

As you are paying entry for adults and children I would not recommend for a rainy day as so much more to enjoy at the park if dry
