“Sunday afternoon visit”

一个周日的下午,看到了一个短暂的停留Pint是否有其他人在,我知道,（我经营这个地方的中期80s）,惊喜地发现,大厅和休息室Extension Upgrade中存在冲突。巴拿马运河,还有一个当地的人群,服务很棒,令人愉快。没有真正感兴趣,但是这不是一个惊喜,因为我从来没有任何WHEN里我猪Head。

我们经常在这里住了一下午下来和我们年幼的女儿一直觉得这是一个可爱又安全的地方。之前的评论是不公平的因为这家酒吧的狗很乖和很棒的女儿, 她非常喜欢他们玩在一起。这是一个可爱的酒吧来白天或晚上和老板娘绝对是个钻石和一个值得赞扬的地方了... 这是一个必去的地方这是一个正确的国家很有特色的酒吧喝酒

Lovely

Beautifully refurbished friendly pub with great staff and a future skittles alley. Well kept beer and cider on tap.

The Jerk box, a local jerk chicken place are doing fabulous food, to eat in or take away on Fridays at the pub. Served in a box with cutlery and a can of genuine Jamaican pop included for your convenience.

We tried the shredded chicken with rice and peas and home made coleslaw, it was great, freshly made large portions and good value. The garden is nice too with plenty of seating. Very good covid safety procedures are in place. Highly recommended.

Nice little drinking pub

A nice friendly little pub with a good atmosphere. We were told it's been decorated recently and it all looks nice and fresh and clean with a contemporary feel.
A good selection of drinks and a pleasant place to have drinks. No food served.

Sunday afternoon visit

Stopped over on a Sunday afternoon for a quick pint to see if there was anyone in I knew, (I owned the place back in the mid 80s), pleasantly suprised at the upgrade with the skittle hall and extension to the lounge. Reasonably busy with a good local crowd, service was excellent from the cheerful barmaid. No real ales but that wasn't a suprise as I never stocked any when I owned the Boars Head.

It's a real shame that I wasn't here when you lisited, it would have been lovely to meet you and find out how much things have changed, I'm glad you like the improvements here, we do have 3 real ales on the bar, Greene King IPA, Abbot ale and Twisted Thistle, they do sell well now a days, especially when it's skittles seasion. We do still have letting rooms so next time your in the area please come and stay with us. We can compare notes :0)

Great place for families

We often come down here on an afternoon with our young daughter and have always felt this is a lovely and safe place to come. The previous comment is unfair because the dogs at this pub are very well behaved and are great with my daughter, she absolutely loves playing with them. This is a lovely pub to come to day or night and the landlady is an absolute diamond and a credit to the place...this is a must to visit as it's a proper country drinking pub with plenty of character 😄

Large Dogs roaming free

We visited the Boars Head after visiting the local Berkeley Castle.

Upon finding a table at the outdoor patio, a polite request was made for the large dogs that were off leash, to be tethered.

We had four young children with us and as any concerned parent would be, not knowing the dogs or the temperament of the dogs, it is not unfair to expect a customer request like this to be adhered to.

The request was refused by the landlady who advised she was letting the dogs roam on that day (hardly a great way for dogs to release energy?).

We promptly cancelled our drinks order and left.

Still very cheap beer

You will struggle to find a cheaper pub than here, it is a social pub, nice beer, cider and people. Over the years I have had many a hangover the following day :-)
