Free admission on our visit , lots of history in the Abbey , well worth a visit if you are in the area with an old pub near the gates for a coffee beer and food , there is an X5 bus which passes the end of the lane .

While in ruins, there is still a significant amount that can be seen, making it a very well worthwhile visit.
Given its photographic appeal, it is easy to see why it is a popular wedding venue, and even if not invited, also doubles as an excellent picnic area.
Lots of placards detail its history and original design.

The ruin is located along a fairly busy road. It is poorly indicated where the entrance is and where you can park. Ultimately you have to drive into the site through a narrow entrance from the road and park at the Abbey. Entrance is free. Much of the beautiful and photogenic ruin is still (visually) intact.

An interesting place to visit on a sunny day. The medieval tiles are good.Beware of the narrow entrance to the grounds and people with dogs off leads...
There's a lovely small garden centre next door (Stewarts) and a handy pub opposite. Spend a couple of hours doing all three.

It’s a nice walk and building, it’s just not very big so don’t expect to spend too much time here.
You can walk around quite a bit of the ruins, there’s some information boards around and in summer it would be good for a picnic.
The only negative is you have to pay for parking, we parked elsewhere for free and walked over, I guess the money helps maintain the property.. I’d hope so but still, there were two families and no cars parked.
I can imagine on a nice sunny day the Abbey would be a nice place to spend some time

Ruin of abbey, pleasantly located within walled grassy area.
Nice little stop off point if passing by but not worth a major expidition to see.
English Heritage. No entrance fee but car park chargeable.
Gated entrance in walls not designed for modern speeds,,45 degree angle to road, requiring an abrupt turn.

Great little outing to very intresting abbey ruins . Fab information signs around the abbey are very informative and helpful . Good areas for picnics too . Parking very easy and a bargain at £2 . Marvelous short stop with family visting from abroad

Quite an amazing 13th Century site owned by English Heritage Close to Fareham. An interesting ruin in well kept grounds. Some fascinating areas of old tiles which were out in the open but well preserved. We had the place to ourselves as a music event was about to take place which we hadn't realised but they allowed us in for a while.

We found this an interesting place to visit, no entry fee and parking alongside. Enjoyed a walk around and you can go next door to the Stewart’s Garden centre for food and drink!
Some reviews have said it’s hard to find but it’s immediately to the right of the garden centre directly opposite a pub.
