Would highly recommend one of Kate’s calligraphy class. The effort she puts in shines throughout the workshop - the music, decor and theme of writing all coincide brilliantly. I am so shocked with how much I learnt in just one class, it’s giving me a love for a new tranquil hobby! Will definitely be attending more classes. Thank you Kate X

I have always loved the look of calligraphy and whilst looking for ways to improve my mental health I thought I’d do a course. I thoroughly researched courses in my local area and started to follow Kate on Instagram. Her calligraphy skills are amazing and I loved watching her Instagram stories. I messaged a few different calligraphy course leaders but Kate was the only one who responded to me instantly and reassured me that I would be fine attending on my own. I knew Kate’s course was definitely the one for me and booked myself on the Beginners Class right away. The venue was Mitton Hall, Clitheroe which was about an hour away for me to travel but the drive out there was worth it- so scenic. Mitton Hall has plenty of parking and wow what a stunning venue! Upon arrival Kate had set the table in the room with a Spring Theme and everything was so welcoming and inviting. Kate has a really good energy about her that instantly puts you at ease and I couldn’t wait to start. Kate has designed a little booklet that you work through and she is there to help and guide you throughout the session. The two hour course flew by and I didn’t look at my watch once! Calligraphy itself is so therapeutic and you can really relax and drift off into your own world whilst doing it. There was a real mix of people attending the course; such as mum’s and daughters, friends, colleagues and people like me who were just on their own. Everyone was friendly and it was nice to chat to new people and listen to what had brought everyone to try calligraphy. Throughout the course there is access to tea, coffee and water and Kate had placed a cupcake in everyone’s table place which was a lovely added touch. There is also background music quietly playing which helps you to relax even more. I fell in love with calligraphy and have practised lots since. I would definitely recommend Kate’s courses as she is such a lovely, approachable person who will help you achieve and you’ll leave feeling positive about yourself! ✨

I joined a Halloween Calligraphy Class with a friend in 2022. I was so impressed by Kate’s generosity in helping us acquire the foundations of modern calligraphy and the time she must have spent preparing all of the equipment and decor. It was lovely to learn a new skill with new people and be able to produce something to be proud of. I would highly recommend Kate’s classes - my enjoyment has continued as I’ve experimented with modern calligraphy at home since then.

Whether you're looking to develop your creative talents or simply to spend time with friends or family doing "something different", this is 2 hours very well spent. Kate is a master of her craft and unselfishly shares her knowledge, tips and tricks in a warm and attentive way. I was amazed at how quickly my skills improved, but most of all how therapeutic the session was too. I can't wait to for my daughter and I to attend Kate's intermediate class. P.S.: Our Christmas gift tags look fantastic! Thanks Kate xx

We signed up to this class with the hope we could use this skill for wedding decorations/invitations! This was the perfect beginners class as Kate provided lots of great tools and resources to help us through the class. She is very friendly and helpful and the cupcake and warm drink were a great addition to the class! Thank you!

Attended the Halloween introduction to calligraphy course and it was brilliant. Kate was informative, encouraging and honest. Loved the theme and the attention to detail was great!

I went to one of Kates Halloween Pumpkin Painting Classes, it was a wonderful event. The venue was lovely, the activity was fun and it full of all ages. Kate had gone the extra mile with decoration the room and it looked fabulous. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing evening for the Pumpkin Painting! Kate was super friendly & so helpful with designs / advice. The atmosphere was great, will definitely attend other events in the future!

I really enjoyed the class and although had no confidence in my being able to achieve anything legible, I was pleasantly surprised that I could actually do it!

Loved the whole evening! Started at 6pm and my only complaint was that 8pm came far too soon. Kate was knowledgeable and attentive and made everyone feel at ease. She was kind and helpful and everything we needed was available in our kit. The cupcake and drink were a lovely touch and the Bridgerton theme was brilliant from the emails beforehand to the table decorations on the night. If you are thinking of going to one of Kate’s classes do it, they are brilliant! I will be going to another soon.
