Stay away they ruined my £ 10 k dream wedding
One of my guests forgot what he asked for. He was told he ordered it so eat it and slammed the plate on the table..
This was the manager shannon
she told me she has no idea how she was in charge of this wedding she dose not no what she is doing !!
My guests over heard the inexperienced manager sharron who was left in charge of my wedding as the real one who we arranged it with went on hoilday
that she was sick of us, As early as 6pm. She stomped around my wedding with her arms crossed bossing my guests around. They rolled there eyes when people ordered drinks
My guests was told to move whilest smoking when there golf club members was smoking freely
It was my first question when I booked can my guests smoke i do not won't them ridiculed
Shannon Called my husband a groom zila and tryed to pass it off as a joke its derogatory remark to make all he was doing was evrything i asked him too
Later on in the evening The staff shouted at my entertainment for been late and kicked him out of where he was getting ready instead of being showen in a suitable place to change.
He told me he had never been spoken to like that in his whole career he was a brittains got talent contender I felt so bad I payed him an extra £ 50 in the way of an apology I was mortified
They told the children off.
And at the end of the night at my massive fireworks finally all i can hear is the staff complaining about the mess. And when i go over to ask what is wrong.
I the bride was escorted behind the bar and told this place is a mess and it is a respectable golf club and it's fathers day tomorrow

My sister had planned a wedding here, beautiful day even though alot of the staff attempted to ruin the day.
If your planning a party or wedding stay away from grimsby golf club.
They ruined my sisters £10 k dream wedding.
all we heard all night was nasty comments like this is not the nunny taven it's a golf club. They was so rude to my guests constantly nit picking and shouted at entertainers. At the end of the night the bride was escorted behind the bar to be told the place is a mess and to clean up by a member of staff. Not a manager the manager kept appolosing for that member of staff after she was apparently left in charge and doesn't normally do events and only tiny bits at the bar. They were so unprofessional, I've never been to a wedding where the bar staff used the entertainment facilities set up and paid for by the bride and groom before. And to then complain about having to wait in a queue behind children who are guests of the wedding. The snide comments all day and night, rolling their eyes at big drinks orders, they were vile! I'll be telling everyone I know to steer clear, snobbery at its finest.

Had our wedding reception here Sep 2022, Steph was very helpful throughout and everything ran smoothly, staff were friendly and helpful throughout the day , food was lovely we had no complaints from anyone at the wedding party and the view across the golf course was beautiful , great little place for a wedding, would highly recommend.

Had our wedding reception here on Saturday.. a massive Thankyou to steph and her team…excellent service - excellent food- no complaints from any of our guests … couldn’t have wished for a better place to have the reception…

My wife and I recently had our wedding at Grimsby Golf Club. We had the ceremony in their Colt Suite, which though small was adequate for us, the reception and the evening party in the Octagon room with it's view out to the Golf course.
From the start Steph and mark were very helpful and were always there to assist with any questions we had.
On the day itself the Colt Suite was decorated just as we requested and looked amazing. Everything ran smoothly and the music for my wife's entrance and our exit was spot on.
The Octagon Suite also looked amazing and the view, thanks partly to the weather, looked really nice. Mark and his staff ran everything smoothly including the ride in a golf buggy to the two lakes for photographs. We elected for the BBQ option and the food was very nice and plentiful.
The night party also went very well and the buffet was well received by everyone.
The Grimsby Golf Club is an excellent place for a wedding with it's intimate room for the ceremony and very nice room for the reception and evening party with it's view of the course.

I recently did photography for a wedding here and I was very impressed with how the staff managed it, was very friendly throughout and managed a busy bar well. The food was great and the location is perfect.

Visited today with a group of ladies. The room was freezing. I was advised that the heating was boosted but ended up wearing my jacket the whole time and was cold through and through by the end of the lunch. Food was excellent and served well by the staff

We were a group of 29 ladies, who were seated over 4 tables, for our club lunch.
Everything was very organised, and the table settings for Christmas looked lovely.
The three courses all came out very much together, and the staff serving were very professional.
Tasty and well cooked and still warm courses, and as said before the staff couldn’t be more helpful.
I would definitely recommend and return again. Many Thanks x

Visited course today and even after all the recent bad weather the course is in fantastic condition the greens are excellent for this time of the year and no problems with fallen leaves hiding your golf ball. Great welcome from the golf pro and a nice coffee to warm me up before i teed off myself and two friends really enjoyed course.. overall excellent thank you.

My wife and I got married here on the 24th of July 2021, we were attracted to the place by the unique octagon room which is large and able to accommodate a large number of people, it also benefits from having some great views of the golf course.
Throughout the wedding planning Steph was incredibly helpful, she provided great flexibility with choices and was very helpful with anything we had planned and communication was also brilliant.
On the day the staff were fantastic and very professional, Mark was brilliant as he made sure that everything flowed well throughout the day.
For photographs, being able to take a golf buggy onto the course has ensured that we have some amazing photos of the day.
Overall if you're looking for a venue which has a different type of room, great food and staff who are wanting to help you have an amazing day then I cannot recommend the golf course enough.
