What a treasure trove of local artifacts, beautifully displayed and what a lovely lady to welcome us in. We came to see the Flixborough exhibition which was very well done, and not having been in the museum for about 50 years I was really impressed with the collection in general. And free parking and no entrance fee - what a local asset to the community.

Amazing museum highlighting the history of the area from neolithic to modern times. Amazing exhibits including the Appleby longboat.

This is one of the best local museums that I have visited because it covers everything you coul possibly ever want to know about the area.I spent 90 minutes here and it could have been longer,and it's free with it's own car park.

It is several years since I last visited and the museum has undergone refurbishment with new galleries since then. It is a welcoming and friendly place, with lots to see.
It was well worth a visit. The section on Romans and Anglo Saxons is particularly impressive with a lot of artefacts found from the surrounding area. The Anglo Saxon stuff is amazing and must be one of the best displays and collections I've seen in a small museum. The museum is worth a visit just for this!
It also puts on temporary exhibitions - Viking Craftsmen when I visited, which had a lot of reconstructions which really gave a feel for what life was like then.
The museum is free, so please leave a donation!

A not so little gem. Fantastic collection from stone age to 1960s. Everyone will find something of interest here.

A great museum for kids to enjoy. Lots of space to learn new things with lots of activities to get involved in.
Nice area for babies and younger children.
Experience the World war II shelter and hear the sirens. Listen to people talk about the war and find out about the history of the Steel works.
Friendly and helpful staff to support and guide you. Bright and colourful displays of artefacts.
A fun day.

Lovely little museum. A good range of things to see with a focus on the local area. Good range of time periods but not too overwhelming for children.

What a fantastic resource this place is! From child-friendly activities to serious archaeological displays, this museum has it all. Superb collection of finds from the local area - Iron Age through to Anglo-Saxon as well as information on the steel industry. We need to return as you can only take in so much.

North Lincolnshire is a nice county.
Plenty of interesting places to visit.

great place my son nathaniel johnson jr the third really enjoyed it. i ate a kit kat while i was there but it was slightly melted so 4 stars but it was tasty so mabye 5 and the surrounding area is a sight to behold so 5 stars. it was very educational and i loved the displays so did my son. deffo recommend.
